IEM Sao Paulo Qualification Week

From January 28th to Febuary 3rd, 2013, Intel Extreme Masters will return to Campus Party in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The tournament will have a total prize purse of $50,000. At Brazil's famous LAN party and trade show Campus Party, 8 of the world's best teams will be competing for $50,000 in League of Legends.

Brazil will be the last stop of the 2012/13 season of the Intel Extreme Masters, before the World Championship in March 2013. The season saw its start at gamescom in August 2012, followed by Singapore in November. Other upcoming stops include Cologne and Katowice.

League of Legends Qualification for Brazil

The European League of Legends qualification for Intel Extreme Masters Brazil will start next week. The top 2 teams will secure their spots to sunny Sao Paulo. The qualification starts on Tuesday the 18th of December and the final cross realm qualifier will take place on the 20th.

3 Days of Qualification

Each of the regions, EU West and EU East & Nordic, will allow teams to qualify for the Crossrealm Qualifier, which will finally determine the two European teams to qualify for Intel Extreme Masters Brazil.

The qualification process

The European Section will run two open qualifiers for each European Region. The best team of each qualifier will earn a slot in the Crossrealm Qualifier on Thursday, 20th December (17 CET). The other four slots will be filled with the best four European Teams after IEM ranking. This 8 teams, out of these open qualification cups and the seeding, after IEM ranking, will play for a total of 2 slots in the Intel Extreme Masters Sao Paulo. Which will start at 17 CET on Thursday, 20th December. Jason Kaplan will show you the Crossream Qualifier on ESL TV.

Intel Extreme Masters Brazil

The Intel Extreme Masters Brazil will be held once more at the Campus Party in Sao Paulo which runs from the 28th of January to the 3rd of February 2013. Eight League of Legends teams from the Americas, Asia and Europe will compete for a total of $50,000.
