Important Rules Update for Events
The last few L4D & L4D2 events have not been running like clockwork and partially causing the wrong teams to have a disadvantage. Therefor we have made the decision to establish some rules. Read the news for more information.

New Rules

These rules are valid from now on and will be enforced by the admin team for every upcoming event in the L4D and L4D2 section such as Cups & Tournaments with deadlines. We have to take this step to push the community into a more professional style.

Fixed Deadlines

All match deadlines will be strictly enforced. You can find all details and deadlines in the specific event news, there will be no exceptions. If you are unable to meet the deadlines you will be disqualified. (The date & time shown on the match sheets reflect the respective round starts)

Disqualification & Replacement

Once the Cup starts all teams have 24 hours to arrange the first match in the matchcomments. The teams not responding within 24 hours are disqualified and replaced. If both teams of a match do not respond, then both teams are replaced (Follow-up teams can only enter in round 1).

Match Deadline

All matches must be finished one hour before the next round starts, so there is one hour time to prepare for the next round and admins can take care of issues if necessary. E.g. round 2 starts at 20:00h CET then the matches must be finished, scores entered and matchmedia uploaded latest @ 19:00h CET.

Match Arranging

Providing a team schedule for the round in the match comments as soon as possible is highly recommended and will be taken into consideration if the teams cannot agree to play. Match arrangements are only valid in the matchcomments and must be confirmed by both teams. Screenshots of ICQ, IRC or anything else are not valid and will be ignored. If two teams cannot agree and are in danger of exceeding the deadline or delaying the cup, the admin team will select a team for the next round.

Feedback & Support

We would like to see your feedback and questions in our Forum. You can also visit us in our IRC Channel #esl.l4d (QuakeNet) or you can write a Support Ticket.

Best wishes,

your Staff Europe

I thought you changed the config and there you just changed organizational settings :/ We still have to wait for compatible config :(
:) nice

The only problem is that you force deadlines on Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

These are days when people work, go out and socialise after working all week.

I'm sorry but for a game with no prize money at all, that's asking far too much.
normally a whole cup is held in 1 night xD
