Versus Opening Cup
Left 4 Dead 2 has been released a few weeks ago and we all had some time to take a look, gain some expirience, find a team and play the first wars. Now its time for the first tournament in the EU Section. This event will be a Versus Opening Cup for up to 32 teams.

Opening Cup

Next friday, the 11th of december the Opening Cup will start. The winners will receive premium accounts as well as a nice ESL Winter Award for the Teamsheet!
Ever match is played on three consecutive maps. (*update* As many teams prefer full campaign, this may be played if both teams agree.) Players from Left 4 Dead should know this system already. As we want to finish the cup this year, it will be a Single Elimination Mode - which means, if you lose your out. Sign ups is open and the matches start next friday, where you have 3 days time play each match.

Restrictions & Rules
Residence Europe
GameaccountSteamID L4D (4 players minimum)
ShorthandleTeams must have an abbreviation / short name / tag entered
Logo A team logo must be uploaded
ContactICQ / IRC
Rules have been accepted

Matchmedia
A screenshot showing the final score is mandatory and must be uploaded to the matchsheet (match media). One team uploading the screenshot is enough, but if the screenshot is missing, then both teams are responsible.
Every player must record complete replays/demos during the match (Guide). The demos are to be kept for at least 14 days and must be presented to the admin at request. Console command: record DEMONAME

Crow's item remover will be fully released by Wednesday latest, ESL could've released thier own basic cfg with that to go with the tourney, where's the driveeeee ? :'(#

oh and 3 maps? hardly worth getting out of bed for :S

Add to that the buggy tank spawns on Swamp Fever finale, never ending horde unless you go to the front gate for the tanks to spawn.....

Im guessing its the one where it spawns further down not giving anyone control unless survivors get close enough, but considering you have to get across the bridge you'll meet it eventually.
Theres also the end tank which spawns behind the survivors, probaly more but thats all i have seen.
Maybe the bugs in the finales are why they opted for only 3 maps, surely you can do 4 maps in the earlier stages then center and carnival full campaigns for later stages of cup.
