Due to some updates to our latest feature, VERSUS. (in beta right now), we are able to add more games to the system. Additionally the beta is running that stable right now, that we want even more games to be added and test our new feature with as many players as possible. The first new addition is Left 4 Dead 2!

We have noticed that there have been some issues in the first few matches and as we would like to try to prevent any inconvenience in advance, this news is a must-read for alle players of the section! You can find out how to start a match properly and what to do if you have any problems.

In total, the WACky testcup was a huge letdown by the community which is the reason why the ladderstart has been delayed a few more days. The admin team had to discuss the future of the L4D2 section in the ESL. We have decided to give it a last try, but there will be some major changes in how the admin team will be handling things in the future. So be sure to read this news carefully.

As we wrote before, the ladder stats have been reset and we would like to run a quick WAC(ky) testcup to give everyone the chance to get familiar with the new Wire Anti-Cheat (WAC) tool, which will be obligatory in the new ladder.

Lerp isn't set to 33.3 -67 anymore. You can now play with an lerp of 0-67. Furthermore some complained about the block of bunnyhop for infected. Bunnyhopping is now only disabled for Survivors and the Tank. You can start the config via !match esl or !forcematch esl. To prevent the flaming of the fresh lovers, this config has no influence at all on these or other configs that are not startable via !match esl.

UNBELIEVABLE! We are done! Finally! We know that some of you were unpleased with our work in the past, but now the time has come to inform you, what we worked on. As some of you may be noticed, a new ruleset has been released a week ago. Furthermore we have an new confogl plugin that fixes some issues the game had. These rules and addon will be mandatory for the new ladder. New ladder? YES! Finally there will be a reset of the ladder! Futhermore No Mercy will be playable in this ladder. To welcome the hard season we decided to give you the hardest cup that ever took place! When the winterstorms come, dark and hazy, strong and cold.... take the evil power and form it into a cup. This is it! The first Realism Versus Confogl Cup!

We would like to inform you about the release of confogl 2.2.2 and some of the changes that come with it. First of all, the new confogl version is valid and mandatory for all match and second change coming with the new confogl is that tier 2 weapons are removed for good and now both teams get a ready up phase on every map. Summer comes to its end and so does the Summer League. As the most of you will all have heard the finals lead to a disaster. "Lerp" was the non-word of this league. The finals had to be repeated over and over again and didn't come to an end so we had to give a defwin to Routers Pixies over Angel Wings. We all want to leave this behind and start completely new.

Recent issues are forcing us to take measures, thanks to the Confogl Dev-team a large step has been taken towards preventing players from exploiting and bugusing. From now on the only valid version of confogl is V2.2.0-ESL! Any other version used during an ESL match will be punished. Do not forget to upload the correct plugin list screenshot showing that you are using the right version! Additionally we have changed/added some rules regarding clientside config tweaking, scripting, exploiting and bugusing. Please read the news for further details.

Group phase 3 has ended with a stale taste. Some great matches were played but at the same time the admin team had to close many matches manually. A big congratulations to all teams reaching the playoffs! Read the news for details!

The last matches of second round have been finshed and calculated! Slowly it begins to show what teams are heading towards the playoffs. Again we had some sensational match results leaving round 3 a thrilling round for some strong teams! Read the news for details!

The first round of the group phase is over and the first few surprising results have been sighted! Who knows, maybe one or the other newcomer team can be treated as an insider for the playoffs? Another Late Night Pwn has come to an end and Team Obnoxia marched right up to throne and grabbed pos #1. The game mode "Escort Rochelle" was something new, but that surely didn´t make it less fun ;) Don´t worry, we have more theme ideas and be sure, more cups are coming, but next is Pro League Qualifieres and Summer League itself, so stay tuned!

The Late Night Pwn #5 is over and winners are final! Running on confogl 2.1.6-ESL the new standard for L4D2 in the european section of the ESL, the necessary steps before starting some great events have been accomplished! Read the news!

As many of you know, the discussion about vanilla versus promod is a never ending story and no matter what is changed some like it, some don´t. The recent discussions between the community and the admins have shown that change is needed and we know that we can not satisfy all, but we are trying hard to reach the majority out there! The Cup was postponed and few updates & fixes have been done so now all servers should be running and confogl working again. Anyhow we would like to inform you that the old Version 2.0.1 should not be used for the matches of this cup! We highly recommened to update your server to Confogl 2.1.6! Valves recent update (The Passing) for Left 4 Dead 2 has hit us hard, leaving us with some gamebreaking bugs such as spawnrange increased, the parish map 2 crashing servers and a few other things. Additionally metamod & sourcemod didnt work anymore and confogl seems to need some work too. This leads to the decision to postpone this cup one week giving more teams a chance to join and the devs to fix the darn game.

Finally the long time expected expansion for Left 4 Dead 2 has a final release date! This coming thursday Valve will release the add-on called "The Passing" including a bunch of goodies for everybody.
