The new year has started and it is beginning to get quiet around here, it is time to bring this to an end! Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare for the first tournament to be announced in the year 2010! Gather your team, reload your weapons and get ready for some action!!! This tourney is for all those players out there waiting for a thrilling challenge... this is what you have been waiting for!

No Rest for the Wicked Cup 2010

Starting today the signups for the "No Rest for the Wicked" Cup are open and awaiting as many teams as possible! We hope that there will be alot of interested teams so we can start the Cup with the maximum count of 64 participants in double elimination mode!

You all complained that standard L4D2 is for wussies and your fed up with vanilla gaming. Vanilla was yesterday, we want to challenge and invite you to this years first event running on YES! Confogl 2.0!

The plan is to launch the cup on Monday the 25th of January. Every match is played on full campaign. The team with the highest total points at the end of map 5 wins the match. The winners will not only receive a high amount of respect but also a not to be underestimated amount of premium months for their members!

Matchmedia
A screenshot showing the final score is mandatory and must be uploaded to the matchsheet (match media). One team uploading the screenshot is enough, but if the screenshot is missing, then both teams are responsible.
Every player must record complete replays/demos during the match (Guide). The demos are to be kept for at least 14 days and must be presented to the admin at request. Console command: record DEMONAME
A screenshot showing the Sourcemod Plugin List is mandatory and must be uploaded to the matchsheet (match media). Console command: sm plugins list (Using any other commands will result in invalid screenshots!)
The "status" screenshot, showing the SteamIDs of the performing players, however is optional (mandatory in case of a protest e.g. faking suspicion). Console command: status

Depending on how many teams join the cup in the end the prizes could be:

We're thinking about making them optional, which is how Confogl is coded atm.
Both teams turn the Infected changes during the game by typing !buffsi in the chat (that's the proposed 2.0 functionality).

I think this is the best way to solve the problem of including them or not - let the players themselves decide.

The rules for game times and limits have been changed due to the terrible slowdowns some teams have created in the Opening Cup. Rest assured that this time things will go smoother as the latest rule changes (set up as a reaction to the Opening Cup problems) will be in full effect.

Bang on, who wants to be forced into playing games on the weekends? ...
If you read carefully then you will see that game deadlines for each match is 4 days and sometimes 8 days on winner bracket. This should be more then enough time to arrange & play. Just to give you an example:
Winnerbracket:
Round 2 Friday, 29/01/2010
Round 3 Saturday, 06/02/2010

This gives you Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and half Saturday to play the match. All you need to do is arrange it and finish it 1 hour before Round 3 starts @ 19:00 cet.

Teams that want to play in a competitive cup/ladder/league will be able to sort out 1 day out of 4/8 where 4 players can fight 4 others. If this is not possible then please do not sign up.

The problem before Felerian01 was we had 3 days - Thursday, Friday & Saturday to play games. Obviously the opposition couldn't possibly play Thursday because this one day is like the Sabbath.

They then proceed to only be available weekends, now this is the .EU ladder and i'm sure most Europeans have the ability to interact with the real world on weekends, do not punish us because a team of cave trolls demand to play the game at 22 on Friday night, because they are from Kyrgyzstan and are CET+4.

These to me are even more unacceptable then 1/2 days delay.
NOT SFTOvDI delay that is a massive piss take as i'm sure you would agree.
