| I thought you can play an esl match on any mod you want, as long as both sides agree and it has no huge gameplay changes. But anyway. 1. its better then random ja+ - oh yes 2.no super crash can crash the srvs with the mod on. - check 3.no more saber exploits. - umm, well we tried keeping it exactly like basejka... or what exploits do you mean? 4.no more net cmds changeable - wat? 5.no more forcepower exploits. - wat? =P edit: No Linux build to test yet, sorry guys... but we've installed the Win test build on Madox' server now... just waiting for his host to change the startup parameters for us because we can't do it from our end. Great that you like it I feel very gratified right now. Especially since the UT announcer was completely my idea to include, and I came up with the rules (well kind of, just stole the rules and sounds from CSS lol). But yeah, the UT announcer is really a blast, adds more fun to the game. It even makes you try harder just to get the next Multi/Spree announcement. But Xycaleth definitely deserves all the credit for that as well, for coding it so well. He implemented it exactly like I visioned it. =o Btw anyone who tried the mod on Madox' server on FFA, did the UT announcer work on that gametype? I somehow think it would not, unless Xyca already thought of that too and fixed it. ![]() Tomorrow, if Xyca has the time, we will fix these minor things in the code and compile a new Windows build for Madox' server and a Linux build for pug.jka: 1. Fix the teamoverlay (experimented with a better way of updating it, instead of the default way that updates once a second no matter what... couldn't get it to work and forgot to put it back the way it was )2. Make it so that all damages in /stats show only when the round ends, because they can be used to determine enemies' healths (i know, pretty vague but still necessary imo). 3. Remove g_hm_airControl (a personal experiment of xyca's... an utterly pointless feature )4. Put back the restriction max cg_Fov (my stupid idea to remove the restriction - it doesn't do real harm but decided to restrict it back anyway, for now at least) 5. Include the missing sounds for the models from JK2 and clean up the client assets a little, noticed it had some unnecessary crap in it. So a re-download will be required. [ quote ]

| Glad to see that some people like the mod. I have some other ideas planned for the mod which you might find useful: - Ready up feature: At the start of the round, everyone's required to type /ready into the console before the round actually begins. Obviously there will be a way to force the round to start if theres one or two players afk. - Client setting restrictions. This will prevent weird net settings as shown in Madox's screenshot Certain cvars will be restricted to a predefined range of values.- Hardware banning: Instead of banning using an IP address, players could be banned by their MAC address. Not sure how many people would need this but its something I *might* be able to add. - Global statistics system: This is a big maybe. I was hoping to link all servers using the mod to a central database where players will get ranked. I'm not sure how well this would work outside of duel gametype though (like BWN did). I never played BWN myself, but from what I've read there were a number of problems with their system (name faking being one of them). This feature would be able to be disabled/enabled by the server admin. About the JK2 skins though, unless you already own the JK2 game, I can't simply copy the files over into the mod due to copyright infringement. I'll have to double-check with someone who's more knowledgeable about that type of stuff though, just in case there is a chance I can ![]() [edit] Something I forgot to mention is the scoreboard! The scoreboard was cheat-protected in the latest release because it wasn't finished (although you might think otherwise if you managed to change the cvar.... ).
