Season IV - Starting Signal
The European Insurgency 5on5 League now enters the 4th Season, which will be the last league season in 2009. This season also marks the beginning of the restructuring of the whole ESL Insurgency section. Our intention is to strengthen the national scenes and provide own leagues for every nation with enough clans.

Important Information

several rule changes have been made, so be sure to check them here
When all players of both teams have connected to the match server the server admin has to make a CORRECT rcon status screenshot
start Aequitas before you start Insurgency
Every single player has to record a demo
The maps are preset for each matchday
Although it's a 5on5 league, 6on6 is allowed, if both teams agree on it
Not showing up results in 3 penalty points and a reschedule of the match
Got questions or need support? Please submit a ticket

Matches can be moved within the week with the confirmation by your opponent
Matches without confirmation can be moved only once using your wildcard
Moving a match requires a protest at least 48h before the original matchdate for your opponent to agree (24h before) and the admin to adjust the matchdate. Agreements in the prematch chat/comments are not valid!

League Mode

14 Teams entered the fourth season. The new league mode consists of two divisions with 7 teams playing against each other on 7 matchdays. All teams of German speaking countries are playing in their own national section from now on. The Top-3 teams in division 1 will get a "Hall of Fame" entry for their effort while the Top-4 teams qualify to the newly introduced "Global Playoffs", to compete against the best teams of all ESL Insurgency sections.

Final Words

We are aware that there are a lot of discussions regarding the recent changes to the overall Insurgency league structure in ESL. We are welcoming any suggestions and critics. As stated before this follows an overall plan to strengthen the whole competitive Insurgency scene. Introducing the German and North American League should be only the first step. The next candidates are Spain and maybe France. If this plan works, everyone will gain in experience and satisfaction. There is only to gain but nothing to lose from our point of view. We are prepared to exit this strategy at any time if it doesn't work, but we are ready to take the chance!

I like the changes.
Go teams!
"We are prepared to exit this strategy at any time if it doesn't work, but we are ready to take the chance!"

Fair enough.

Now let's make the best of this and get those new german teams to feel welcome in the European community.
What the european clan scene needs is more clans that play practice clan wars etc!
Config changes are good, even though sv_maxrate should be set to at least 30000. This game isn't cs and it shouldn't copy a lot from cs, IMO etf2l is much better comparison. :) But still many good changes had been made and this is really important improvement. Good job on that! :)
I know admins want the best, but I still can't stand the idea of treating 1 European nation other way than rest. This doesn't suit international league. At least for me. I don't want to be part of this (my team mates may have other opinion).

n1 news. respect to knopf!!!
I hope France, and Spain will follow and join as a national league asap but I fear top clans of each country will get bored fast ...
I am bit aware on sv_allow_wait_command "0" here. It makes all scripts with "wait" do in one sec.
Others?
Yep have to agree, sv_allow_wait_command needs to be set "1", otherwise roundstart.cfg and teamswap.cfg will not work properly.
That's why it's used serverside now. Upload it to the server and execute it with "rcon exec roundstart" as I wrote in the news ;)
Okay okay, wait is working but the scripts are acting not as expected or it usually do in other games. :P
If LIVE is flooding too fast, add 'wait200' between the lines. You will get your 'fancy look' ;)
This is isn't affecting the gameplay. You won't look at it anyway ;)
It is possible to manually set sv_allow thingy to 1, and then set it back to 0 =).

rcon sv_allow_wait_command 1
do your thing
rcon sv_allow_wait_command 0
CG nenTi: if client side exec not work as needed then please remove this from usage description.

Snuff: sure... I will do :)

What do you need rcon sv_allow_wait_command 1 for?
I'm sure ECO has esl config on war server. Same with roundstart.cfg and teamswap.cfg. So where is a problem? None of those configs needs sv_allow_wait_command 1.
Seriously we dont have a problem with sv_allow_wait_command 0, its okay and im all for it, but you should remove the client scripts with wait commands from the ESL_Insurgency_warconfig_v1.2.zip, since they are forbidden. :D
They are no client scripts ;)
Really?! :D

Nice one R3M :)

ECO have a well config server, I'm pretty sure.

About Div.2: 5 active teams.. that's starting to suck again. ToH left the league and HkT is near to left too.

We should have done a full league. Still thinking 12 teams are not too many teams just for one Div.

Cheers, SeidoS

It could ahve worked with 1 division if we started one week earlier or so (since german section started so late).

I would though prefer not that large divisions (to get more even matches), but instead little smaller and without playoffs. More even matches and easier/faster relegation. But to achive this we really need to get 0% ghost clans.

0% ghost clans is a very important issue and probably very easy to achive. So this is where the energy should be put, not at creating national divisions and get them to work (which is pretty much impossible to get them to work as good as an international division league would do).
