The use of fake players and macros are one of the worst types of cheating in HaxBall. We take this very seriously, therefore the players/teams caught using a fake player or macros, will be punished even harder from this day forward.
As of today there will be no more warnings for those kind of offences.
Use of fake players
Using a fake player will be penalised as follows:
•
6 penalty points for the team profile (in case of a team match)
•
6 penalty points for the player who has been replaced
•
6 penalty points for the player who replaced another
All matches won with a fake player
will be deleted.
We also reserve the right to give
additional leaguebans for the HaxBall section, if we think this is appropriate and necessary.
Since using fake players seems to be very popular lately, we have decided to update the rules:
4.1.3. Confirming your identity
To avoid the use of fake players, everyone involved in the match should check that they can properly access the site before searching for a match and must confirm their presence in the match chat or match comments, if asked by their opponents.
This rule update takes effect immediately.

No, seriously - I know about macro, but not how it works and what's the advantage with it.

Also, when the ball sticks to a wall, its easier to pull it away with macroed action key, since you are "always" tapping action. Therefore the ball wont hit you while u r idle, and wont stick back to the wall.
Assuming macro needs a different key then the usual action keys, I find it very difficult to capitalize on using macros. I never used any, but I guess it's not that simple...

Anyway what it does is basically that you bind one key, for example 'z' or 'c' so that when you press it, it will continuosly spam 'x' and it does it much faster than you yourself can hit 'x' with your finger.
So it's quite useful for winning 1v1 wallbattles and other powerfights and the 2nd thing is that it's easier to make some tricks with it like doubleshot and bunny hop, (bunny hop is when you stand on the ball against the wall and hit 'x' 2 times fast so you bounce away from the wall and still have the ball close to you).
That's how I would describe what macro does and what it is good for anyway.
