The first of two steps to restructure the European HaxBall section will be the removal of the 1on1 Amateur Series, as well as the 2on2, 3on3 and 4on4 Ladder. The reason for this is very simple: Inactivity. The number of matches per day has been dropping regularly, especially when comparing them to e.g. last year, and the ladders are full with inactive teams. Thus we have decided to remove them. The ladders will still be active this week until Sunday, 26/05/13 at 23:59 CET, so you still have some time to finish open matches, to answer open challenges, to maybe get some streak awards and most importantly: to say goodbye. After that date the ladders will be <b>completely</b> removed, you won't be able to even visit the match pages anymore.

After four qualifying tournaments and the decisive playoff, we can finally present the top three teams for this year's 3on3 Spring League. Before moving on to the winners and prizes, we want to thank all the teams that participated in this competition and we hope to see everyone back for the Summer League!

The draw has been completed, which means that we can finally announce the complete group fixtures. The top two teams from each of the eight groups will advance to the playoff stage, where they will meet based on these default pairings: A1-G2, B2-H1, E1-C2, F2-D1, C1-E2, D2-F1, G1-A2, H2-B1 Good luck, have fun!

The standard ladder settings will be used: 5 minute time limit and Best of Two format (overall goal difference). Each round of the cup should be completed in ~30 minutes, so try to play your matches as quickly as possible and remember to confirm the score! Good luck, have fun!

The 32 national teams were distributed into 4 pots, using their performance from last year's Country Championship as the main determining factor. The first pot was reserved for the 8 teams that reached the playoff quarterfinals. For the other three pots, some adjustements were necessary, due to special circumstances within certain groups which facilitated some teams placing higher than others from more competitive groups.

The sign-up period has ended and we have our full list of participants. Compared to last year, two countries did not return (Austria and Norway), with their places being taken by newcomers Georgia and the winner of a qualifying match between Algeria and the United States. Therefore, 32 will still be our magic number, facilitating a classic tournament format of 8 groups, with the top 2 teams from each group advancing to a 16 team playoff stage.
