It's been talked about for months: The ESL Gaming Client. Right at the start of closed beta 1 we reveal the secret. The program is called ESL Wire. The name is stands for speed, boundless networking and especially easy and accessible eSports. The small circle of beta users will be expanded in the coming weeks.

Because of a bug in our nightly scripts last night some teams were mistakenly kicked last night from various Amateur Series. The error was corrected and all kicked teams were put back in the leagues. We apologize for the inconvenience and small shock in the morning we may have triggered for some.

It was eight months ago that the Electronic Sports League entered the Rosetta @ home project. Together, we the players of the ESL have within a few months managed to take the #1 place in all Rosetta statistics. Now it is time to move on to the next project!

The alps announce their prizemoney for the fifth season. We present the amount around which the alpine esportsmen will play. We increase the prize money of the ESL Pro Series again to 15,000 Euro!

The cream of the crop of European eSports: Today we proudly present the drawings and seedings of the Intel® Extreme Masters Main Round. Twelve teams and players will be drawn live on ESL TV at 20:30 o'clock (CET). In the Main Round, which starts next Monday, 24 teams will play against each other. All contestants will be divided into four groups with six teams each.

We have raised the curtain on the new ESL TV website! It provides all information about the new ESL TV channel. The launch show will be televised this Friday evening. From then on you will get daily broadcast of all ESL leagues and events like the WC3L or ESL Pro Series Finals and information about the latest games. There will be a 400kbit free stream and subscription available for a high quality stream.

The technology behind the ESL Premium Account has fundamentally changed but so far for ESL Premium users it has not visibly changed much. Most of the changes affect things inside the ESL. The Electronic Sports League has now been alive for more than ten years. In that time we have had three major redesigns, the last big change was already almost three years ago. Over the years, not only have the number of users and matches grown sharply, but also the complexity and diversity of the site has increased largely.

Almost all National Qualifiers are finished right now. So almost all teams and players for the Main Round, QR2 and QR1 are determined. In almost regular intervals, mostly on the first of the month, we show you a review of the performance of the ESL site. A review of the performance from October is not completely positive but overall it is good. We are still not satisfied but we know we are making progress on the right track.
