![]() We have not forget about the 6on6 format! As a little "Thank You!" for the nice and exciting Winter League '08, we will present you the ESL Major Series IV for Enemy Territory! The Enemy Territory ESL Major Series powered by gamed!de features a prize money of 500€ and we will see Europe's best ET teams live in action. Read on for further details on ET's most important online tournament in 2009!
Maybe some teams can remember the details of EMS Season II. The Qualification details will be the same:
Qualification Stage 1Free for all! All teams must register in one big signup in the European section. Based on the number of signups for each country, we will decide which countries will get an own National Qualifier and which one have to join the European Qualifiers.The signups for the 500€ competition are already open and will close on 29th March at 23.59 CET: Qualification Stage 2: (Inter)National Qualifiers* National Qualifiers: The exact number of countries with an own qualifier cannot be stated yet, as we do not know the number of signups at the moment. As soon as we get 16 Teams from a single country, that nation will get its own National Qualifier! So it is up to You again to make this Tournament a inimitable one! At least we hope for a The winner of each National Qualifier will be qualified directly for the ESL Major Series Group Stage. The second one and perhaps even more teams will join the ESL Major Series Relegation, which will start by the end of all qualifiers. Team nationality: A team's nationality is determined by having half or more players in-game from the region of the qualifier they are participating in. In cases where this can mean dual nationality (I.e. Enemy Territory is played 6on6) then the team must choose which nationality to use for that qualifier.Once qualified, a team's nationality no longer matters. Qualification Stage 3: Relegation*A total of 8 teams, coming from the National and European Qualifiers, will get a second and last chance at the ESL Major Series Relegation. They all will fight for the last slots at the ESL Major Series Group Stage in a 8 slot single Elimination Cup. The best two teams will move to the teams which qualified directly some weeks before, the losing teams failed on the home stretch and have to say goodbye to the EMS!ESL Major Series Group Stage*After a long way, Europe's best Enemy Territory teams have found the way to the main part of the 500€ competition. The ESL Major Series Group Stage features four groups with 4 teams each. In three match weeks we can expect a large amount of great and enthralling matches. The best team of each group will join the ESL Major Series Playoffs directly, while the teams on the 2nd and 3rd place will pass to the ESL Major Series Survival.The other teams of each Group have made it quite far but here the EMS ends for the teams placed 4th, too. ESL Major Series Survival*With the end of the group stage, 8 teams will get another chance to join the playoffs. The 2nd of each group will face the 3rd of each group. The winner will join the ESL Major Series Final Stage.ESL Major Series Final Stage*The final part of the ESL Major Series. The four winning teams of the group stage and four survival teams are the remaining teams of the ESL Major Series.
