Rules Overview:
Right now we have only a short overview about the rules that will be the standard for the qualification cups. But before the cup starts the full rulebook will be available. So here are some guidelines for your upcoming qualification matches:
Team Size: 5on5
Maps: Mine of Oblivion, City of Ancients, Crossroad of Death, Swamp of Immortal
Mode: Best of 1
Qualification: Top 4 of each cup qualify for ESL Major Series Season 6
Forbidden Heroes: Lejena & Subaekrim
Choice of map & factions
To find a fair way of determining both the map and factions of the teams we decided to introduce a vetoing process that will give both teams the same chances. Please have a look at the following explanation. Team 1 on the left is the team with the higher seed and team 2 the team on the right.

Team 1 starts by vetoing the first map

Team 2 veto's the second map

Team 1 veto's the last map and so determines the map to play

Team 2 decides which faction (Aeonia & Oriens) they want to play

About Avalon Heroes:
Avalon Heroes is a free 2 play game with days of fun and action waiting for you. It offers a breathtaking combination of Real-Time-Strategy and Role-Playing Games featuring competitive elements, similar to the successful game modification DotA. The new burda:ic top title is backed by the Asian publisher WeMade Entertainment, the company behind WeMade Fox and their starplayer Jang "Moon" Jae Ho, whose experiences supported the development of Avalon Heroes, e.g. on the aspect of competition and eSports.

The news is missing detailed information about the seeding though - does the #1 in the first qualifier cup get a higher seeding than the #3? On the one hand it would make sense, on the other hand it wouldn't because it'll be much easier to reach #1 in the second qualifier cup than #3 or #2 in the first. :/

Our guild gets disqualfied because of rules that are just invented to prevent us (NWO) from joining EMS with too many teams.
The rule that more than 50% of the team have to be from the same country is an obstacle you brought to the rules on purpose , knowing that NWO is international and has many ppl playing from different countries.
Maybe you should make the rules before the cup starts and not when it's already running.
The whole Avalon Section of the Electronic Sports League reflects so bad on the ESL.
