EMS X TMNF & CAP 9: Playoffs & Relegations *Updated*
The final phase is starting and so it's time to announce the Playoffs and Relegations! You can find all important information below, but also some other things that might concern you, about potential new seasons.

EMS X TMNF: Results after Group Stage

The EMS Group stage is over and so it is time for the Playoffs! Here you can see the final results: http://www.esl.eu/eu/ems/season10/tmnf/groupstage/rankings/

Therefore we want to wish all teams best luck and lots of fun in the Playoffs!
Here you can see the Playoff tree: http://www.esl.eu/eu/ems/season10/tmnf/playoffs/rankings/

CAP 9: Results after Group Stage

For the CAP results we first of all want to mention again that the team's ranking points get reducted by 1 incase a team got between 10-19 Minor Penalty Points, and get reducted by 2 incase a team got between 20-29 Minor Penalty Points. (1 Major Penalty Point = 10 Minor Penalty Points). Another important thing is, that incase two teams got the same amount of points, the first deciding factor is the direct match, and afterwards the score difference!

Ranking's page: http://www.esl.eu/eu/tmnf/premierships/competition/amateur/season9/rankings/
Therefore the results that you can see the on the Ranking's Page aren't 100% correct. Here the things that change:

Division 4 A: National Racing Club is placed 3rd and Phenix-GaminG.TMNF is placed 4th because the Russian team won the direct match.

Division 4 B: IMPACT# TrackMania is placed 3rd and Funteam! placed 4th because the French team won the direct match.

Division 5 A: Hardware Arena Gaming is placed 2nd and Mine Raccoon Terror! placed 3rd because the Polish team loses 1 ranking because of one Major Penalty Point.

Division 5 B: dac-SP-2- is placed 2nd and Dieux Du Pieu.CAP placed 3rd because the German team won the direct match.

Division 5 C: orKs.TM2 is placed 1st and myRevenge e.V. TMNF placed 2nd because the French team won the direct match.

All other results that you can see on the Ranking's Page are correct; and according to those Rankings together with the corrections from above, the CAP Playoffs & Relegations were made. Here the links to the Tournament Trees:

Tennis mode & decider maps:
The decier map is always the 1on1/2on2 map and is played incase the result was 3:3 after the normal match. It is played in 5on5 mode until one team reaches 7 points, only exception is tennis mode.

At this season's Playoffs all submatches will be played as usual, which means 1on1, 3on3, 5on5 until 7 points, and the 2on2 until 5. Tennis mode applies for all submatches incase the standing is 6:6 at 1on1, 3on3, 5on5, or 4:4 at the 2on2. Then you have to continue the submatch until one team has a gap of 2 points! The tennis mode applies for the decider map aswell.

CAP Relegations

Here we first of all want to mention that it is not sure yet, if there will be another CAP season that looks like the current one. Fact is that i (=joey) will leave after this season, and at the moment it looks like noone will take the project CAP 10 and organises a season like that one. So in the end the question is if somebody will come and take the CAP in his hands. But we still decided to do Relegations now, cause then everything would be prepared for a CAP 10 season that is based on the CAP 9.

Basic information about all Relegation Cups

The Relegations will exactly look like last season. So there will be Cups of 4 teams again. Those 4 teams are always determined by the results of the CAP Group Stage - more information below. The 4 teams will play in a Cup with Loser Bracket. In the end the team that won the Winner Bracket and the team that won the Loser Bracket will get a fixed spot for the higher division! The other two teams will get a fixed spot for the lower division. Here an example from last season: Click! In this case 711 won the Winner Bracket and Druidz won the Loser Bracket. Therefore they both got a fixed spot for Division 2 in this season.

For every match it's possible that the result is 3:3. In this case you have to play a decider map to determine the winner. The decider map is always the 1on1/2on2 map, and is played 5on5 until one team reached 7 points (just like a normal 5on5).

For everything below:
WB stands for Winner Bracket
LB stands for Loser Bracket

Relegations between division 2 and 3

- last placed team from division 2 goes down automatically, first placed team from division 3 goes up automatically -

WB Final: Winner Match A vs Winner Match B
LB Round 1: Loser Match A vs Loser Match B

Relegations between division 3 and 4

- 8th and 7th placed teams from division 3 go down automatically, first placed team from divisions 4 Group A & B go up automatically -

System:
WB Round 1 - Match A: 2nd place division 4 A or B vs 6th place division 3
WB Round 1 - Match B: 2nd place division 4 A or B vs 5th place division 3

- the "better" 2nd placed team will play against the 6th placed team from division 3. To determine which team is "better", we first of all compare the ranking points, then the score difference, then the penalty points. If everything is the same, a team will be chosen on coincidence -

WB Final: Winner Match A vs Winner Match B
LB Round 1: Loser Match A vs Loser Match B
LB Final: Loser of WB Final vs Winner of LB Round 1
Overall Final: doesn't have to be played

So, we are waiting for the man who will carry on the CAP series ;)
yeah really sad :/ you've done a great job joey, the ESL tournaments has been alot of fun lately because of you and the hard work you've done. you'll be missed. hopefully there will be someone who will pick up the torch after you for the next season.
    a question:
To make the final classification, which is more important? Point spread or clashes between teams? Thanks & great job admins.
saturday 21.00 is that a joke or what? best is sunday 18.00 and 21.00
Agree with Remix, strange to play on saturday.
This is totally impartial, they adapt the schedule to the football games of Germany. You should know that here they play teams from all countries who also want to see their nation, but can not for the sudden change of schedule ..
its just unbelievable! how can you think that players will be able on saturday at 21? some people still have some life so i hope you will change this match date
Simply ask opponent to change matchdate then..
What the fuck ? Why did you downgraded some teams ? That's just a shame, we (Team Dieux Du Pieu) made our best to drive the best possible to surpass our fail match against team Dac-SP and gain the most points possible to finish 2nd and now you said that only the match between us and them count ? Seriously... I would be OK with you to choose them if we got the same score diff. but that's not the case... We made our best to took points against each teams and we made a good 5vs5 match against Elite team that was invicible in our group to be downgraded like that... Big thanks to ESL that always found some tricks to get advantages to German teams or friend team...
You should look in the Group 5C than you see that there the france team gets the first place instead of the german, here is no country preferred.

We won against you and that is the life. If we had not 2 bad matches against n! and elite we would have 3 more points than you. We can´t change it that you lost against us.

the following rule stands in the rulebook since the league began:

    1.8 Rankings

If at the end of the season two teams have the same amount of points, then the team that won the direct match will get the better position. If the match ended with a draw, the overall score difference is the next deciding factor. If its the same aswell, the small submatch points of the direct match will decide. If its still the same then, the team that won the 5on5 in the direct match gets the better ranking position.
beating no-train-HM in an unimportant 1v1 is simply not enough jon :P
