2nd playday: done. This playday was freaky with a lot of great matches and very close decisions in almost every group. We have some teams which could qualify for the playoffs already just as in some groups still everyone has all chances. What has happened exactly? Check this coverage.

Next week the main group stage of the Counter-Strike: Source ESL Major Series begins with 24 of some of Europe's best teams competing against each other for €4.000 in prize money. The groups have been made, the matches scheduled, see inside for full details.

Today only 2 match will be played. Four teams fight at the loser braket to obtain the next the round. Only two teams can continues their dreams to obtain one of the 2 slots for the ESL Major Series Endround and get a handful of prize money. So lets get the matches started!

This evening there will be the third Playday in the European ESL Major Series Qualifier. At the Loser bracket four teams fights against to be knocked out from this tournament. So it would be a hard fight for them. The other four teams fight for having a relax weekend with a gaming pause. So lets get the matches started!

The Swedish and Russian ESL Major Series qualifiers have had their signups extended as too few teams have signed up.

This evening there will be the second Playday in the European ESL Major Series Qualifier.
For quite a lot teams this is the real first match of the Qualifier because there aren't as much teams in here.
The map for this round will be Matmata and so we got some quite interesting matches, where the winner isn't predictable.

It's done. The qualification rounds are over and we have 16 contestants willing to compete for a top position in the EMS. An overall amount of 1.000 Euro is the prize money for this league which will start the week after the next. Let's take a look at the groups.

Since then we have had a closed beta which selected Premium users were able to take part in.
