A small FAQ

Question 1: How many players from a country do we need for a national qualifer?
Answer 1: You need three players from the country, where the qualifier is hosted to take part in the qualifier.

Question 2: My team does not have three players from one country - can I sign up for a national qualifer?
Answer 2: No, but you can sign up for the european qualifier. All teams from outside of Germany, France and Poland can play there. The same applies for mixed teams.

Question 3: How many teams qualify for the EMS in a qualifier?
Answer 3: Max. 4 teams can qualify, but it will depend on the number of sign up for each qualifier. For now all qualifiers have 4 slots, but that can change, if the amount of sign ups is too low.

Timeline for the EMS Season X

Qualifiers: 06/02/12 - 04/03/12
Groupstage: 12/03/12 - 22/04/12
Playoffs & final: 30/04/12 - 31/05/12

Why natio quali in France and not in Portugal? Bad game knowledge?
#2 france has 3/4 max 5 teams, Portugal has 14 team in the ladder, but they prefer france that has 2 teams in the ladder and in their cf esl section have 1/3 of portugal players xd, w/e.
gl to all teams.
I agree with the comments above. I already posted about this on the other EMS related topic...

Germany has decent national teams...

Poland fails at skill, but does have an active ladder ( i suppose )

But France... Like... There's only 2 teams in the ladder... Like... No comments.

Im not demanding to let PT be one of the qualifiers... But letting FRance be one of them is just ridiculous... Since only 2 teams are in their ladder, that means that they will imediatly go to the 1/8, lol...

But anyway... I jsut demand ESL Wire to be mandatory...
#4 actually in fr 5on5 ladder there's only 1 team xd.
Ye, we still don;t have one, but in every cup, tournament, etc. there are about 16 teams from Poland. Maybe its better that Portugal don't have qualifications, less crying and protesting kids.

mad or sad?
@up
sad
I wish all teams the best of luck.
As of whether or not Portugal should've had their own qualifier, I think you all should be thankful for this opportunity to even arise. It's not that big of a deal when you're able to sign up for the european/mixed qualifier.

Quit the nonsense and enjoy this opportunity while it last.

#6 Sup bro... Nice skills in pub.

#7 Do I know you? Wait... Does any1 know you? Sup fan... GTFO.

#10 Yes Edzio, the fact that EMS is based in Active teams and not the best teams means that Poland should be one of the qualified countrys... But in that case, why is France there?

Hmmmm the EMS prizes are sponsored by Gamerage i think, so they choosed the most active countries in game (not in ESL), I mean the percent of the community playing on pubs etc and maybe there is more players from France than from Portugal.
I will answer to your question why france is in qualifer country ?

Cause all the french guy love baguette . That's easy .

goodluck for every teams, I want a good competition without cheaters!
k1ck eSports are in :)
gl everyone
max. 4 teams@ EUROPE. wtf!~
we need iberian Qualifer Portugal and Spain :D
good luck & have fun , may the best teams qualify
4 teams from EU and 4 from each section? 2 or 3 from national sections and the rest from EU (maybe 2 qualifiers for EU then) would be way better.
Can you make the Tournament Brakcte with lower bracket , then its better to find the Teams ,because it would be a bit silly if all good teams are for example down the bracket and not so good teams are up in the part . And then all the good Teams destroy themself. Better with loser bracket.
+1 for LrN. Loser Bracket ist nice.
#21 +1
I think its better with loser bracket too. s0raa is right, we need an Iberian Qualifier! ahahah =)
#21 +1
Good idea #24, maybe Balkan quali too maybe :D
#26 maybe! xD

the playtimes wtf?
0:00 o'clock final.
Some people have to work under a week, that's a really bad idea from ESL.
game > work :P
We will change the qualifiers to double elimination and we will most likely change the matchdates of the semi-finals and final so another day ;-)
It will be needed Pramium accs to play EMS?
I need players for the French qualifications, mp me for more information.
I have to rewrite my statement. You do need ESL Premium for the EMS, but not for the qualifiers.
to bad this EMS is 16+
dsasdasdasdfas
Will be a nice thing..
