Come to our booth at IFA and experience a brand new build of HAWKEN, an intense free-to-play mech first person shooter that explodes onto the scene with an open beta starting 12-12-12. You will enter the visually stunning world of HAWKEN with a memorable style truly capturing the intense feel of a not to distant world destroyed by corporate greed.
Battle against other players in a rich multiplayer experience. You will play across a variety of maps and game modes, including HAWKEN's premiere experience, SIEGE. Fill your mech hangar with powerful creations. Each mech can truly be something unique by customizing its parts, abilities, performance, and visual style to suit how you like to play.
Players can now use the powerful heavy Mech C. Mech C is a slow but purposeful mech chassis type. What it lacks in speed it makes up for with its ability to soak up tons of damage.
Mech C’s have the most hit points of all the mech chassis types and are most adept at being on the front lines soaking up punishment and attacking enemy mechs face to face.
Special weapons are now locked to a mech and paired with a special ability. The pairing is intended to help guide players towards a role when putting their mech together.
There are 9 preset mech loadouts available in the PAX build. They are designed to show a wide range of possible mech loadout combinations and show players the possibilities when putting together a mech.
Audio has changed immensely since the E3 build and the game now has a plethora of new and improved weapon, explosion, and ambient sounds to take the immersive experience of Hawken to the next level.
The in-game radar now shows an actual map overlay to help players more clearly understand where they are, as well as where their enemies are when navigating the map.
Cockpit UI has changed to a much sexier and easy to read bluish tint.
Two new weapons are available.
The sub-machine gun, an alternative choice of automatic fire to the Vulcan cannon. Unlike the Vulcan Cannon the Sub-Machine gun has no spinup time and is more accurate than the Vulcan making it an excellent close quarter combat choice.
The Mini-Flak cannon is a smaller, more rapid firing version of the Flak Cannon. With a faster rate of fire, it is more forgiving of missed shots when that last shot or two really counts.
