Once again congratulations to all teams that have been selected to compete in this season's qualification. This qualifiers will last for a total of 6 weeks, so get ready for the long haul.

This news is divided into several sections, each section header will title what each section is about (pretty self explanatory). READ ALL SECTIONS OF THIS NEWS CAREFULLY

Playdays and Scheduling

Every playday of WCIP begins on Wednesdays and ends on the following Tuesday at 23:59 CET. This means that the Round 1 Playday begins Wednesday January 20th, 2010, and ends on Tuesday January 26th, 2009 at 23:59. Wednesday January 27th will be the start of the Round 2 playday.

All of you have noticed that your match is scheduled to Saturday January 23rd 20:00CET. This is a default playday schedule. It is the responsibility of your team captain and your opponent's team captain to determine a date of the match.

The playdays go back to back. This means when one playday ends, another beings right after that.
If a war is played outside of a playday the team(s) at fault will receive penalty points for delaying the tournament brackets.

You do not have unlimited time to schedule the match either. All matches must be scheduled by the Saturday 23:59 CET in that playday or the team(s) at fault will receive late scheduling penalty points.

As soon as a match is scheduled, each team captain needs to write the match date in match comments to show that they both confirm the match, and an admin will enter the time and set the match to confirmed.

Bracket Format

This is how the tournament bracket is going to work.
Round 1 of the qualification bracket is single elimination. This means if your team is competing in Round 1 and you lose your clan war, you are ELIMINATED. Your team will drop down to the loser bracket, but that match will be DELETED.

If your team is currently in Round 2, or advances to Round 2, you will then begin competing in double elimination style for the rest of the qualification.

To summarize this:
Round 1 - Single Elimination
Round 2 through Round 5 - 6 Double Elimination

Wild Cards

Throughout all of qualifiers each team will receive only 2 wild cards. This means you are only allowed to postpone a total of two matches in the total 6 weeks long qualifiers. This minimizes the chances of delaying the brackets, so make sure you seed people that are able to show up on match day!


Wild cards allow for postponing matches to a later date within the same playday. You are not allowed to postpone a needed match to outside the the same playday or the team(s) at fault will receive penalty points for delaying the tournament brackets.

Game Acounts

Every player that is going to be seeded in a match must have a game account written on profile. If the game account is not written in profile by 30 minutes before the match. That player and the team will receive 1 penalty point for ever 24 hours the game account is not entered.

Barred Players

Barred Players

This part always confuses people.
WCIP does not recognize every single type of barrages.
Here are the types we recognize:
New Player Barrages
Fake Account barrages
Offense Barrages

WCIP Does NOT recognize:
External New Penalty Point level barrages
Inactive Player barrages

Players who have joined the team after the start of qualifiers are not allowed to play for 7 days from the time of their join. You can however ask permission of the enemy team if they will allow the new player, but it is the opponent team's right to deny the new player if they wish. Seeding a barred new player without permission will result in a default loss for that player.

A player who has Fake Account, or Offense barrage cannot be seeded at all or else it will be a defwin.

Players with External new penalty point level barrages ( these penalty points applied from other leagues and tournaments) can be seeded with no problems.

Players with Inactive player barrages can be seeded with no problems.

Clan Wars

Line ups for clan wars will appear 30 minutes before a match, so a Line up must be entered at least 30 minutes before a match starts or you will receive penalty points.

All clan wars will take place on Garena Client in the WCIP Tournament Room 1, or WCIP Tournament Room 2, or WCIP Tournament Room 3. It is up to both team captains to determine which room they would like to use. I would suggest using the room that has the least amount of people in it.

All games are played in a best 2 out of 3 format. If a player wins 2:0, you will enter 2:0 in the score. If a player wins 2:1, you will enter 2:1 in the score of match details.
Do NOT enter only 1:0 for scores in match details!!

For every 2:0 or 2:1 victory 1 point is added to total score.
The first team to reach 3 points wins the clan war and the remaining matches DO NOT have to be played.

Qualifying Teams

Keep in mind everyone that only 8 teams can qualify from the Qualification Bracket into the EMS WCIP Season V Regular Season.

The first four teams to advance to Round 4 of the Winner Bracket will have qualified for WCIP Season V Regular Season . (Round 4 match will not be played)

The first four teams to advance to Round 5 of the Loser Bracket will have qualified for the WCIP Season V Regular Season. (Round 5 match will not be played.
