Patch 1.5 has finally been announced for release tomorrow, thursday 30th of July at 20:00 CET, and your ESL team are raring to go and put on as many competition as we can for you this august!

Honour and glory - that's what the players fought for on the battlefield of the 41st millenium. But not only that. During the last 3 month the also fought for the qualification of the ESL Pro Series! There were matches full of tension but now the top 10 of the german EAS will have to wait until the 10.08.2009 when the ESL Pro Series 15 DoW II finally starts.

In Germany, the summer holidays have just began. So it's a good time to try something new, a Breakfast Cup starting early in the morning! The cup will start on Sunday the 26th of July at 07:30 CET and if everything works as intended, should end early in the afternoon. Moreover this could sound pretty good for timezones far far away, for which the normal cups lie in the deepest night.

The GameReplays 2on2 cup series have ended with Mercykil1er and Nanayashiki racking up another win! They beat the german admin team, Gaddy and el alcazar in a nice final. I hope they enjoy the swag that's being sent out to them now.

ESL eu isn't one to be left behind, and with ESL-america and ESL UK already having annouced their beta plans, we're announcing ours too! And, in the fine tradition of 1 upmanship, we've copied what they're doing, and added a spontaneous cup at midnight tonight!

The German DoW2 section already has one, but we don't... until now. The speech is about a place for champions, a hall of heroes in which only the best and most brave warriors can be a part of - the new "Hall of Fame".

By popular demand, it has been decided to have a relegation match for the final 4 spots in the Spring League playoffs. It's been decided to keep it to 1 round, though, because the proper playoffs may start as little as 7 days away!

Relic have given some details on the map builder in the upcoming 1.4 patch. It looks good, but we won't know til we try it.
