Autumn Season 2009 - Signup and Rules

![]() We welcome everybody to the second mainseason of the year 2009. Fall is here! Within this news you can signup your team and find out about upcoming rulechanges.
Open Autumn League 2009
Once again we plan to play this competition with different divisions. The number is going to depend on the signups of course, but you can expect a traditional season with a groupstage and a single-elimination playoffs like we did in the past. Every team that is not qualified for the Major Series V is allowed to signup, so we expect not only a decent premiership division. Like you are used to we are going to talk with the teams about the division to let everyone play there where they fit in skillwise. There is no change in the mappool, all matches will be played on two maps, so the timelimit is 4x15 on the following maps: Anzio, Lennon, Argentan, Harrington, Salerno, Coire_rc3, Santos_b3, Vallente_rc3, Diversion_b4, Catania_rc2 and Solitude_match The groupstage is going to start at the 9th november 2009, so we are going to take signups until the 1st november - we present you the divisions shortly after and will make adjustments based on requests then. Rule Changes We want to point out that there were small adjustments to the rules we used in the last competitions. Following clientsettings need to be obeyed: cl_bob 0.002 In addition as we saw an increased use of scripts latetly the following new definition will be added to the rules: Any binds or aliases which change the original Movement of the game, speed up progresses of the Game or change any cvars such as rates or fps in order to gain an advantage over their oponent are forbidden. Simple binds or aliases to change ingame nicks, maps or scripts which dont give the player an advantage while being ingame are still allowed. Once again we inform you that it is forbidden to play emtpy or non-existent .mp3 files through any action (binds, scripts etc.), like we announced months ago already. The latest #eu.dods Serverconfig can be found here and has not changed since the last tournament took place. It is mandatory on every gameserver, as all matches have to be played with sv_pure 2 for example - so make sure your server runs with the correct serversettings! What to do before, during and after playing? Here a little summary, but please be sure you are aware of the complete rules of our section: 1. We ask you to announce your maps you want to play, at least 48 hours before the match starts. Otherwise your opponent is allowed to postpone the match and you will recieve two penalty points! 2. Teamleaders should check if every of their players has entered a SteamID as DoD:S Gameaccount on the ESL Website. If someone still has his "wrong" ID entered from one of the last Valve Updates that changed the "0 into a 1" contact us and we`ll handle those rare cases without any punishment. 3. Remember to start Aequitas before starting the game! If you have problems with Aequitas try to contact an ESL admin @ #esl.dod or via support ticket! If you experience an error/ a bug with Aequitas create a usefull screenshot about it. 4. Ingame remind everyone to play with their nicknames registred at the ESL website, it must not be 100% the same, but it needs to be obvious please. When all 12 players are on the server, do your rcon status screen (a status screen is not sufficent!) 5. After the match upload your aequitas files (ESL only accepts .zip files you can´t upload .rar files) and the endroundscreens as well as the rcon status screen! Remember that there is a difference between "status" and "rcon status". We only accept "rcon status"! If your Aequitas did not create a .zip file automaticly you can create it on your own, just remember that it makes no sense to .rar it. The file must be uploaded to the ESL FTP, freehoster like rapidshare or megaupload do not count. You have 48 hours after the official matchtime to upload the matchmedia. Be sure you are aware of the new player-barrage rules that went live during this summer, you can find it here Gameserver and SourceTV To help some teams out we can offer you this season a gameserver located in germany that you can rent. Contact an admin for information! In addition if you need a SourceTV proxy we can help you with that too. Default Matchtime and Wildcards A matchweek is going to take place from monday until the following monday. Both teams are free to agree a date and time within this frame to schedule their match on their own. The usual day to play is Sunday evening, the majority of the teams plays at 20 or 21 CET. As we do not accept excessive delay this season there will be forfeits. Every team has one wildcard during the groupstage and one wildcard during the playoffs to use. A team can use their wildcard at any time before the match has started. Together with the use of that wildcard a new date for the following matchweek has to be agreed! If that has been done the match can be aborted without any punishments. would NOT be a script, because you switch your weapon manually (one time if you press your key down and one time if you stop pressing it down)
...and other guys can simple use their 1337 script keybord like g15 or any wow keyboard and write scripts wich do everything themselfes.
so i just asked if it's allowed to use lastinv in an alias because I CAN READ and can't find any information about it (i am allowed to bind lastinv to a key, but am i also allowed to ... whatever...and what's up with the invnext and invprev commands?
would be a great rule bypass

Some of these restrictions are ridiculous. When the ESL forbids using alias for lastinv than it would be much better to get an ESL CONFIG and play with it.
Honestly this is getting more ridiculous what you are changing.
I'm looking forwad when the ESL put into their rules that every player has to use the ARROWS to move and not WSAD.

This data not have effect in game, but with 2 is possible to see choke and loss, it's not possible with 1.
For the rest of individual cfg is right to apply, same to block scripts from +lastinv: with bind ok but no with script.
For me (IMHO), we need to use one serius plugin for anticheat like zblock, or DAC (this better of zblock) and aequitas need to make screen with stamp not with source engine.
