Spring gives new life, like Shakespeare said it around 500 years ago, and we give you the next opportunity to compete with other teams from all over the world. In numbers there are 38 teams which signed up for Spring League this year, so we'll have three divisions.

The spring recently started - at least if you believe in the calendar - and we will use this opportunity to announce the ESL Spring League 2013! The last ESL Wintercup finished almost two weeks ago - congratiulations to the winners - and now the teams are waiting for the next tournament. There will be a groupstage with 6 teams in each group followed by single elimination playoffs. Now it's time for you to sign up!

"It's cold outside and you don't know what to do?" That was the first sentence in the announcement news for the DoD:S Winter Cup 2013. Well, it's still cold outside and the Winter Cup is finished. The Spring League 2013 is in planning but first of all we have to congratulate our Winners.

Wintercup is ending soon, only two weeks left, three teams battling for the crown. This means many teams are out already and got lots of free time, so we decided to make another nightcup! Nightcup #19 will be on Thursday, 14.03.2013, starting at 20:00 CET. The singup is open now, so hurry up and take on of the 16 slots!

A new month, a new Nightcup! Thursday the 07.03.2013, coire, santos, lennon and catania will be played, so sign up quickly, if you are looking for more intense matches this week! As usual, starting time will be 20:00 CET.

Next week, next nightcup! Mark the last day of this month, 28th February! Not because it is the the end of this month, but because of our 17th nightcup, that will be a 6on6 Cup again. After our last nightcup, where our seeding system worked fine, were proceeding with this system, so we hope that the most exciting matches will be played in the last matches.

After the first non 6on6 Cup of this year, we will come back to the original way of playing DoD:S. So the next Cup on 18.2.2013 will be a 6on6 Cup again. In addition to this weve got a new system for seeding the teams. Each team got and gets points for finishing a cup within the first four places, so that we have a ranking, that everyone can see. The first four teams of the ranking, that signed up for the recent cup will be seeded, so that the best matches will not be played in the first matches.

It's time for our first 1on1 Nightcup in 2013. It's nice to have a team but sometimes it's necessary to fight alone. You don't like 1on1? No problem! As promised every second Nightcup will be 6on6 standard maps. So just wait another week and sign up for Nightcup #16

Take a note of the 6th February, cause there will be the 4th Nightcup of this year. We will not proceed as the last nightcup, so you have to play each round an other map. Because you have played catania enough this week, we will grant you a holiday from this map. In addition to this nightcup, we adapted the rules, to enable you an easier cup procedure. At the bottom of this news you can read those rule changes.

In a lot of European countries its really cold outside and there is snow laying on the ground. And where do all those Europeans want to be? Youre right: in the south of Europe where its around 15°C - 20°C. Almost the half of all poll participants have chosen Catania as their favourite DoD:S Map and because of that, here it comes, our first one-map Nightcup that only takes place in the warm of the Italian south. If Catania suits you and you have the will to be a longer time there than your opponents, you have the chance to have a holiday for about two hours there on next tuesday.

It's still winter, but thats no reason to put on ice. Stay active, keep moving, wake up your mates from the hibernation and sign up your team for Nightcup #12. Have a look for the poll at end of the news to contribute to the next Nightcup. Because of the fact, that some teams that signed up and didn't appear to their match, we'll proceed from now on as follows: <center><i>Every team, that signed up for a cup and doesn't appear for their first match, will be barred from the following cup.</i></center>

The Autumn League is over, we have a new year, and we want that you have a nice start in this year by playing more cups. So we decided to carry our european Nightcups on. You have the possibility to play every second week and, if there are many sign-ups, even every week. Some of you may ask what nightcups will be played and we think that it is the best way, if every second nightcup is a 6on6 cup with standard maps and the other nightcups are decided by you, so you are asked which mode you want to play (1on1,2on2,3on3,6on6).

It's cold outside and you don't know what to do? You want to play DoD:S but there are no tournaments? Well then gather your mates and sign up for our DoD:S Winter Cup 2013. Even if you lost one match you have still the chance to win the whole tournament cause we use the double elimination mode for this cup. So if you lost a match stand up and fight!

Simultaneous to the german league also the last european event, the Autumn League 2012 finished. There were 42 teams that signed up for this event and there are 9 teams that have the honour to stand on the podium, shared to three divisions. But one team topped any other team, YouMirin? , that showed an excellent performance in the final and defeated the winner of the german Bundesliga in a one-sided match. We are happy because there was no delay in any division so that we could finish this league in less then two months and before christmas. And with this news we are presenting the winners of the last european event for this year. Here are the winners of the autumn season 2012

The winter is coming, the temperature is falling down and down, and our autumn league group stage is finished. The best teams of every group qualified for the playoffs, which are starting with the upcoming Monday, the 3rd December 2012. The specialty for the playoffs this year is, that the default match date is set to Monday. This is because of the overlap with the German League, which is normally played on Sunday. The consequence is, that the Match week for every game is set to Monday till Sunday, and it is your duty to play in this week, otherwise the match will be decided by coin flip.

So, now it can start, the autumn league 2012. Finally we got 42 teams, which signed up for this season. Additionally we are proud, that we satisfied many wishes referred to the seedings. You can see the final groups at the bottom of this news. We wish you a lot of fun and success!

The Summer is over since a few weeks and so is our Summercup 2012. We hope you that you had fun while playing the summercup. At the end we had a little delay and the finalists couldn't agree a date to play the match. So we had to do a Coin Flip to get our Winner.

We are happy to announce that 40 teams signed up for the Autumn Season 2012. This means that there will be 2 divisions consisting of 12 teams and a third division with 16 teams, splitted into three groups. This first draft is based on former results and the appraisement of the admin team, but it is not final yet and we would like to know if you are feeling misplaced. The final seeds will be presented on Saturday, the 20.10.2012. The following Sunday, 21.10.2012 is the first match day. Please excuse the hurry, but we would like to finish this cup till christmas, so everybody can enjoy the holidays and doesn't have to worry about playing DoD:S at that time. If you are feeling seeded too high or low, please read "Our team wants to play in another division" on the bottom of the page.

It's time for our Day of Defeat: Source 6on6 Autumn League 2012. But this time without QualiCups for the 1st Division. But that will be the only change, as usual, the format will be presented in the form of the group stage and playoffs, the playoffs will be played in the single elimination mode.

Autumn is coming and so is our Autumn League 2012. But before we can start with the Autumn League we have to run another Mappool-Vote. We are running a few Nightcups with Maps which aren't in the Mappool right now, so you can play them before you vote the Mappool.

The European Day of Defeat: Source section is looking for new admins. After a few changes in the admin staff we need some new admins to run the upcoming Autumn League, Nightcups and maybe a few other cups as well.

The master of all classes is over and the summercup 2012 is the only running cup at the moment. So it's time for some Nightcup action three days three nightcups every nightcup with a different mode. Tuesday 2on2, Wednesday 3on3 and Thursday 6on6.

With the 4th cup we got the 4th winner. And we still have five players left who can become the master of all classes 2012. In the news for the rocket cup we asked you if we should stay with the maps or switch to the 1on1 sniper ladder teams. According to your feedback we decided to stay with the maps.

Three cups and three different winners. Only one player made it twice in the top three. Only the rocket and sniper cups are left and every player has still the chance to become the master of all classes 2012. We have one question about the upcoming sniper cup. The medium and heavy cups are done and now it's time for the light players to proof their skills. The medium cup was more like a spray and pray thing but this time you can show us your M1 Garand and K98k Skills.

The last matches are played and it's time to honor the winners from our four divisions. The Spring League is over but at the moment we're running two different tournaments the master of all classes tournament for everyone who has fun playing 1on1 and the 2on2 Summercup.
