ESL Summer Cup 2009 getting started

 The pairings were generated and the annual Summer Cup is about to getting started. Keep in mind, to rearrange your Matches early on, so we got a smooth schedule. Here are some facts, that most of you should know. We just wanna remember you the the procedure of the ESL ;).
Aequitas Aequitas is mandatory for all players in the Ladder. Every player has to upload his Aequitas ZIP file until 24h after the match. Missing Aequitas files will be punished with 3 Penalty Points for the player and his team. Additionally, the same rule as for missing demos is in place for this tournament: Two missing files of one team lead to a default loss.ClientsettingsBecause of Aequitas, it is now possible to examine your complete configs. Please check your configs that they do not contain any occurence of wrong clientsettings. If there should be any, there will be punishments if your opponent protests against them. It doesn't matter if you actually used that config. It is enough that the wrong value is in any config in your dod directory that is executable. DemorecordEvery player has to record one ineye-demo per round. HLTV Demos are no valid replacement. The team that is responsible for the Server the match is played on, has to made an rcon status. Missing rcon status will be punished with 1 Penalty Point for the team. GameaccountsA player may only take part in a match after he has entered his STEAMID in his player profile. So please make sure that you have entered your STEAMID correctly. Barred PlayersAll players who join a Team before the tournament kicks off are allowed to play. Players with inactivebarrage are also allowed to play. If a player is barred because of to many penalty points he is not allowed to play. rearranging MatchesIf your team is not able to play a Match on the default date, you can surely rearrange your match. Only condition for this is: The match have to be played before the next matchday. Schedule
ServerconfigsThe server has to be configured using the official ESL Serverconfigs. You can download the latest configs here. We recommend that every player reads the complete rules again before playing the first match to avoid any unnecessary conflicts.
