Today we have to make a really sad announcement. In the nearly last seven years you were able to participe in 19 cups, one european premiership, six german premierships, two nation cups, playoff cups and of course plenty other different ladders.

With just a minor delay, of about 3 months, we finaly finished this years Summer Cup. 16 Teams participated and went through the double elemenation. The actual winner lost their first match and took the long way through lower bracket and managed to win all games. Congratulations! Here is the Top 3!

The pairings were generated and the annual Summer Cup is about to getting started. Keep in mind, to rearrange your Matches early on, so we got a smooth schedule. Here are some facts, that most of you should know. We just wanna remember you the the procedure of the ESL ;).

It is time for our second 2on2 Nightcup! There first one is about two months ago and was pretty fancied. Our second cup will take place on 17th of may from 18 o'clock til around 21 o'clock if everything works flawless. We will keep you up to date via IRC and the known Sites of our Community. With the upcoming Opening Cup we will Launch a 6on6 Ladder, since there was a lack of activity in the Day of Defeat Classic Section. In this news we will give you an little overview about the rules, mappool and so on.

It's been quite inactive in the last months in the Day of Defeat Classicsection of the ESL, but this is about to change. Soon we will start an 6on6 Ladder and will bring you more information about that in an separate news. This news is about the Opening Cup that will start the Ladder.

The ESL Day of Defeat Staff is hosting this year a series of little Nightcups. Our first is going to be on the next sunday. At 15th of February we will start with a little 2on2 Cup. Furthermore a 3on3 Orange Cup is planed and ofcourse some 6on6 Cups. We will keep you up to date via IRC and the known Sites of our Community. Here are the details for this Nightcup.

The year inclines to the end so did our nations championship too. Just the day before yesterday was the last match played, by poland and germany, in this years nation championship of the ESL. We could induce 15 Teams to signup for the first groupstage. Just to mention some...

Unfortunately we have to close the 3on3+ Ladder due the lack of activity. Since our last try to fresh things up, not much had happend at all.

In October the Most Matches Competition started in various sections of the ESL and now it is coming to the DoD section as well! Are you an active player here in the 1on1 ladder? If not, you should become one as there are prizes to be won!

About two months have been passed since the first matchday in the second ESL DoD Nations Championship. 15 Teams signed up and after about 30 matches, 13 Teams remaining. The six Playoffparticipants in particular are

All arrangements were made and now we are just waiting to get the first ever ESL Liga become an international event. We got 2 divisions with each 8 Teams. The first Match will take place on 23rd of november. Then we will have 4 regular matchdays. On 15th of december we will send you into christmas- and new year holidays. After this little break we will proceed with our weekly routine. The 5th matchday will be on 11th of january 2009. So much for the schedule. Now let me introduce you the teams.

It's been quite a while since the last Match was played in our invite only Summer League. The favoured former insular, this time under the tag of the multigamingclan cZar managed to become first. 3 Months have passed since our last Summer Challenge. The Cup Series started of with the heavy, second cup was played with scoped Kar and Spring(maybe with scoped Enfield too :o) and ended with the notorious WWII Weapons, Karabiner and Garand. Here are the Winners of each Summer Challenge.

Welcome to the first ever Day of Defeat Autumn League. Actually the Autumn League was planed as an only german competition called ESL 6on6 Liga. So it would be just like football. U got fixed matchdays and a division with equal teams.

The Day of Defeat Nations Cup 2008 is about to start. The groups were drawn by lot. We would like to give you the latest information and updates about the cup in this news, so please read it thoroughly.

16 Participants, about 30 matches were played till we got a Winner.

Last christmas we hosted an fancied "Advents Cup". This time we wont host just one cup, we'll host three. Every class, just the most important, get his own cup. So we got the Heavy-Cup, Sniper-Cup and last but not least Light-Cup.

The slogan of the ESL this Summer is "Kampf dem Sommerloch", which means something like, to play against summerinactivity. So we gathered the best european Teams and put them in a league to play each other.

Six out of Sixteen Teams are left in the annual ESL Summercup. So here we go with the Finals. Three games left till we got a Winner.

All matches of the third Week have been played, less and more. Four of six games were decided by Defaultwins, even the game of dotpiXels and my.Revenge, in favour for my.Revenge.

The Electronic Sports League will host the European DoD Championship Cup. For those who dont have any clue, its a Nations Cup. The last European Championship took place two years ago and wasn quite a success. We hope to change it this time and will play with some fresh rules:

This week the European championship in Football kicks off and next to that, the second week in the ESL Summercup starts too.

We were just about to finish the 4th Season of the german ESL Liga, and getting started with the annual Summercup, hosted by the biggest European League, the ESL.
