The Engine-Update and its consequences
The launch of the new game engine and the settings update unfortunately had serious consequences.
It is no longer possible to view demos which were recorded with an old version of Counterstrike: Source.

As there is no legal way for our admins to review the demos, we are forced to reject all timetables made for demos recorded in the old version

This was not an easy decision and we know that you will not be amused, but we cannot ban cheaters unless we can legally review the evidence. To do otherwise would put our admins and the ESL in legal risk. We therefore ask for your understanding.

At the same time we want to see this decision as a chance to re-establish the fair league-flow in Counter-Strike: Source with the release of Aequitas 2.0.

Your Admin-Team

fail of the year ;)
When Aequitas 2 is there, this engine updates will not have any consequences anymore. Cheaters feel a little bit safer now maybe, but Aeq2 can be launched any day. They do not know which day Aeq2 will be launched so if they cheat now, it is very likely that they will be detected.
you can watch old demos , just get pxllan css version

Which is illegal (or at least, a legal grey area), and unfortunately unlike most other leagues, that is a risk that we cannot take or ask our admins to take
#6 illegal ? cheaters are the illegals...

And now in English? :D
rofl Fail
typical esl they get most money from cheaters pfff its anyway a low league at moment more cheaters then clean players rofl
P.s its all about money <3
Great job ESL, another step backward. Let's point out some major FAILS of this league:

1) 5 days barrage rule

2) 3 months of handling a timetable

3) incompetent, not objective admins (sometimes cheating or redistributing cheats)

4) ineffective AC tool and team (of course it's not so crappy as in the past)

5) lack of ideas for European section (limited only to boring cups)

6) CHEATERS!!!!!!!!!! (including both leagues and gathers)

7) time of waiting for AEQ 2.0 (hope it will be working and don't forget to incorporate it into gather system)

And by the way, it's taken a lot of time for players to write a timetable and find an appropriate demo which could bust a particular cheater but what the heck.

I really understand this dicision! It just would piss me on, if I always have to change my css, just to watch demos.. Guess the Admins have enough to do^^
Gui PXL 27 is the solution :>
Updates to Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source and Day of Defeat: Source have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Engine

Increased the resilience of client/server data table mismatches when playing back demos. This will make most old demo files playable again, but with potential visual side effects
