Today the rescheduled match of Greece and Slovakia will be played out. This is the last match of the first ENC playday wich started very successful with over thousands of visitors at hltv and the live channels of the Electronic Sports League (ESL). On this Thursday the Topmatch of Group B: Germany vs. Switzerland will be covered live by ESL TV.

The first Matchday is almost over. Only Greece and Slovakia will play their match on Tuesday 27th April. The new Matchday will start with Group B matches of Austria, Hungary, Denmark and Poland. The match Germany vs. Switzerland will be covered live on ESL TV on 29th April 20:00 CET. Tonight's matches will be Austria vs. Poland and Denmark vs. Hungary.

As the Counter-Strike International Section keeps growing, we need some motivated people from the scene to reinforce our admin team. If you think you might be one of them, please read the following requirements and fill out the application form (in English!), if you fulfil them.

22nd April 2004 sees the conclusion of Playday 1 of the Counter-Strike Tournament of the European Nations Championship. Tonights matches also include the Finland vs. Ukraine match which was wildcarded last week, as well as the pre-scheduled ones.

Following the rescheduled Austria: - Hungary match on 4th April and the Finland - Ukraine match on 8th April 2004, it is now the turn of these four nations to battle against each other in their opening European Nations Championship matches. Just like all of the other matches played in the first playday of the Counter-Strike Tournament, the map will be de_cbble.

Tonight at 20:00 CET the match of Norway and Iceland will be played out. The match was rescheduled from 8th April. Today the will face each other on the server and try to win the needed points to get to the lanfinals. Livecoverage will be done by hltv powered by blank and an IRC-Scorebot at #esl.live on Quakenet.

After the start of Group A and B, today Group C will have its first playday. The national teams of Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Iceland and Ukraine will face each other in exciting matches. The match of Sweden vs. Belgium will be covered by ESL TV. The match of Norway vs. Iceland is wildcarded by Norway and the match of Finland vs. Ukraine is rescheduled to Wednesday 14th April 2004. On Thursday 08th April 2004 Sweden and Belgium will face each other in Counter-Strike. This is the first match in Group C. You can watch it live on ESL-TV. Our moderators Alexander 'MadDog' Albrecht and Nik 'Vince' Adams will get you all the info for the game and comment the hot scenes of this exciting Match. The ESL Instant Challenger (EIC) is now also available in the CS 5on5 MR12 and the CS 2on2 MR12 Ladders. As in some other leagues, the EIC will be active every day from 18:00 h to 22:00 h. As activity and demand raise, more times will come available.

The Electronic Sports League (ESL) internet live stream, ESL-TV, will cover several WarCraft 3 TFT and Counter-Strike Matches in the first season of the European Nations Championship. Nik "VincentVega" Adams, Alexander "MadDog" Albrecht and Jens "GreatSam" Hilgers will present exiting matches of europes Top WarCraft3 TFT and Counter-Strike Teams.

The first matchday of Group B will start tonight at 20:00 CET. The Nationalteams of Germany, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Hungary and Poland will try to get the needed points to reach the lanfinals. In the first match Team Germany will face against Team Poland, Team Austria will mess up with Team Hungary and the Danish National Team will fight against the National Team of Switzerland.

Today the first matches in the ESL Nations Championship will start. The National Team of United Kingdom will fight against the Team of Spain, Team France will fight versus the National Team of Netherlands and the last match will be Portugal versus Team Italy.
