EMS Season X CSS: The Qualified Teams

The upcoming tenth season of the ESL Major Series in Counter-Strike Source will begin next week with the first international qualification round. We can now give you the most of the teams which succeed to qualify for this competition. Teams are qualified directly to the groupstage or to one of the three qualification rounds. Further details about the fixtures and schedule you can find within this news. Details on the first qualification round will follow in a separate news.

The following teams are qualified into the different stages due to their result in the last EMS season or their national qualifiers:

The top four from last season also get an automatic invite to the groupstage. These are 1.

Team VERYGAMES, 2.

Reason-Gaming.css, 3.

CPH Wolves, 4.

Antwerp Aces.

Teams in Qualification Round 1 play a match against 1 other team in their round. The winners go through to Qualification Round 2 to play against a team from that round. The winners go through to Qualification Round 3 to play against a team from that round. Finally the winners are qualified for the ESL Major Series Groupstage.

A Qualification match is best of 3 map, first to 16 rounds. In the event of a tie, overtime will be MR5 with 10k startmoney for the first round of each half. The use of ESL Wire is compulsory!

QR1 was already seeded today. The team to be replaced is the team for the german QR1 slot. All matches have to be played until sunday 1st April 23:59 o'clock. QR2 and QR3 will begin after and the groupstage comes next. Further information about the QR1 will be published tomorrow.

Qualifying Round 1: NOW - 1st April
Qualifying Round 2: 2nd April - 8th April
Qualifying Round 3: 9th April - 15th April
Groupstage: 23th April - 27th May
Playoffs: 3rd June - 1st July
