The particleman.dll is responsible for the smoke grenades. Since it's recognised as a trojan horse by Antivir, it is not executed and effects in a lack of smoke grenades. Since playing without smokes is not allowed we have to react and adjust the rules temporarily as follows.

The 12th february, the uyR nightcups will have a special edition to celebrate the huge success of the tournaments so far. To help celebrate this occasion, ZOWIE were kind enough to give us five ZOWIE G-TF for the winners of this cup.

We finished the planning and are now able to present you this awesome new ladder, which will start on Day here, December 26.

For given reason we have changed another CVAR. After net_graph hopefully being known as forbidden eventually we have fixed the cl_showerror now, which might not effect many users.

It took about five hours and some very nice matches till we finally got the winners. After a first round with more default-wins than played matches the games got closer and closer. In the final we saw an overtime which was great to watch. We hope you all enjoyed this opening-cup and all of you are going to join the new 1on1 MR15 Ladder which will start at Monday, October 26th.

As you requested a 1on1 MR15 Ladder, we will start with a little opening cup. The new MR15 ladder will start in the next days after the opening cup.This Sunday, 25th October, 18.00 CEST we´re going to have some good matches, nice frags and hopefully a winner.

You have voted! Two maps have been substituted. The new mappool for the 1on1 & 2on2 AWP Ladders is set up and will be used from now on!

The summer league is finally over and we are presenting you the winners of this seasonal competition. It took some months to finish one of the largest leagues we have ever played in the European section of Counter-Strike. Luckily, we got a good percentage of played matches and for this reason we will prepare our next seasonal league soon. It will start next Christmas and we will bring you some surprises with it.

Germany has already done, now EU follows. The rules have been adjusted accordingly to the new compulsory client setting.

You got unfair penalties? You're not satisfied with an admin's decision? Here's your chance for revanche! Shoot 'em in the face. Here comes the Admin vs Users Gather #1. Five proud admins represent the EU CS Admin Team in a MR15 match against some lucky users who got a slot in this epic event.

Next week the first event of the Intel Extreme Masters Season 4 will take place in Cologne, Germany during the GamesCom 09. Right after the GamesCom the National Cups of the European Championship in Counter-Strike will start. With this news we want to announce more information about these cups and provide you with an full list of all National Cups. Didn't happen to you that you were having some fun with three nice friends of you on your voice server and when the time to play came up, you could not do anything to play a fair ESL match? You were maybe forced either to search a 4on4 match on IRC where more than the 50% of teams have at least a cheater, or to search a 3on3 and one of your mates was forced to wait. It has not been a long time since the last rule update. Due to the global CS Coordination on ESL, some points of the rules changed.

The twenteeth edition of our Thursday Cup was finished successfully today. We present to you the winners who has won premium and this cup edition. Congratulations and we hope you all have enjoyed the cup as we are going to open a new one the next week. Furthermore we are sorry for any inconvenience that was caused.

And once again, a new edition of the Crazy Thursday Cup is here. ESL feels proud to present to you the new Crazy Thursday 1on1 awp_map. There are not much details as it is an easy cup. If you are good and you get the first positions, some Premium days will be added to your ESL Account as usual :) Anyway, some further details comes now:

A lot of players were awaiting this moment long time ago. As promised, we feel proud to present you the new Counter-Strike 2on2 AWP Ladder. We will enjoy it with a MR9 mode and six great maps for it.
