 Crossfire
Country Championship 2012
Today we can announce the first Country Championship in Crossfire Europe which is coming right toward us. In this tournament we will determine which country is the best in our European region. Get prepared for this upcoming tournament. Beside the two ESL Major Series Seasons in Crossfire Europe we decided to run another major event between the EMS Season X and XI. With this tournament you have got the chance to fight for you country and show the power of your nation.

General Information

The first Country Championship will take place this summer. To be more exact it will start at the end of July, as soon all teams are ready to compete. The County Championship will start with the groupstage and will end with the playoffs. Depending on the number of participating countries we will have groups with 4 countries in each group.

Like in the ESL Major Series, every team will have 1 match per week. The default date for this match will be Sunday 19:00 CEST. In a groupstage match only one map is played by veto, 2x7 rounds. A draw as result is possible. The veto or vote system be announced later together with the other rules.

How to get into or lead a national team we will publish another news soon. In general the national sections are going to coordinate their national teams in the first days. Countries, which doesn't have a national section in the ESL have to wait until the next news for more information.

A national team consists of 9 players including the Team Manager and the Team Captain. All 9 players are allowed to play. Nationality and residence have to be in the country the players will play for and of course every players needs an active gameaccount for Crossfire. Only three members from the same team are allowed to play in the national team.

Prizes

The three winning teams will receive a special ESL award, some Premium prizes and of course also some ingame prizes for their success:

ESL Premium & Awards
1st Place: 5x3 Months ESL Premium
2nd Place: 5x2 Months ESL Premium
3rd Place: 5x1 Months ESL Premium

Ingame prizes
1st Place: 5x M4A1-A Tiger (30 days) + 5x C4 Kit (30 days) + 5x 50,000 GP
2nd Place: 5x EXP Plus 50% (7 days) + 5x Extra grenade (7 days) + 5x 25,000 GP
3rd Place: 5x EXP Plus 50% (7 days) + 5x 10,000 GP

^ yea. Like this idea but it needs finer select for players. So ill try to help out, ill make a list for swedens players that are active and probbably the best around atm. However i dont know ALL and EVERTHING about everyone so dont quote me on this.

Razz, Dycho, Waste, Senseyyi(sense from nuBreed), Wejjan, Viking, Nextra, Zeph4x.

For myself, ill play if most on this list plays. I just now found out about this tournament from a friend on TS btw, so funny im in sweden player list already lol.

In my opinion, the part about deciding who will play for each team, especially for the teams with a higher amount of good/active players for example Germany, Portugal and Belgium etc is far more interesting than the cup itself x)
