Go4Crossfire Cup #1 - New information & rules
On Friday we announced the ESL Go4 Series for Crossfire Europe with up to 1,250 Euro prize money every month and today it is time to announce some extra rules for the Sunday cups, so everyone is prepared. We created a system of warning for the Go4 cups, so everyone can understand our decisions.
Why did we create the warning system? We created this system to have the cup run more smoothly and to have less default wins in the Go4 Series as well. Every team can get one warning per round maximum and will get disqualified as soon as a second warning is given (Exception: Missing Wire Anti-Cheat and/or MOSS completely). Even if you can't get a default win for checking your opponent you can still help other teams by doing so and protesting if there are wrong settings or missing Wire Anti-Cheat files.
Explanation of the warning systemMissing Wire logout gives a warning to the team
Missing MOSS gives a default win to the opponent
Missing Wire (complete) gives a default win to the opponent
By reaching the number of 2 warnings in different matches the team gets disqualified.
Make sure you and your mates have ESL Wire Anti-Cheat and MOSS running in all matches!
Adding new players during the cupAdding one new players to your team in a running Go4Crossfire cup is allowed. You can add other players before or after the cup. This only affects the time from start of the cup till you drop out. Please make sure the player has his game account entered and has not played in one of the earlier rounds. You can get disqualified for that otherwise.
One new player is allowed to join your team during the cup and is allowed to play starting with the next match.
Forbidden Items/WeaponsRecently in Crossfire, some forbidden items in the ESL are offered in-game. From now on, any violation of this rule will be a round given to the opponent team, plus a warning.
For example: Team A used bulletproof in first round. If "A" wins, this round will be removed from Team A score, and will be given to Team B.
If final result is Team A: 3 - Team B: 0, it will change to 2-1, plus a warning.
How to play an overtimeWe want to make this point clear, before we get the first problems in the cup. If you reach the end of one map with a draw, you play an overtime to determine the winner. This overtime is played with 2x 3 rounds, starting the same sides as you played in the second half e.g. if you were Global Risk the second half, you stay Global Risk in the 1st half of overtime.
Overtime: 2x 3 rounds - Format: (BL/GR/)GR/BL and vice versa.
How to handle problems during a matchIf there are any problems regarding your match, open up a protest to inform the admins. We will try to clear things as soon as possible. Especially if there was something wrong with your opponents (Missing Wire, a ringer or anything else) do not accept the match but write a protest. By confirming the result you accept the match the way it was played and it will not be changed afterwards.
If anything feels wrong about the match, open a protest and do not accept the result.
SportsmanshipPlaying matches back to back and adjusting to the play style is not only fun, but also some kind of serious business. But even in moments of please keep a level of sportsmanship. If there was nothing but a lost game, searching for any reason get the game defaulted is not very nice and discussions about this in protests delay the whole cup. So, if you don't see any thing unfair has happened, please just take the loss and accept the result.
If everything was fine with the match, enter/accept the result.
Why you should accept the result after a lossYou just dropped out of the Go4Crossfire cup. This sucks, we know. But still you can help everyone still involved in the cup to play on a bit faster by accepting the result and not let the other team wait for the admins to close the match.
Also, in this step you can enter your lineup and not only help make your match look a bit cooler but also gain XP for the match played and do one more step towards one the cup awards we are giving out.
When you lost, please accept the result and enter the lineup to gain XP.
