Crossfire Europe: The playoffs

 After a long way, starting with the Qualifiers in February, the Groupstage for Crossfire Europe is finished and that means we have the top 8 teams for the ESL Major Series Season X Playoffs. The remaining eigth teams are fighting for the 5,000 € prize money of this season for Crossfire Europe.

You will play a Best-Of-Three in the Playoffs. For the first round the winner of the groups start with the veto of the maps and therefore got 2 vetos, but the 2nd place team can choose the first map, which will be played in the match. Then the winner of the group can choose the second map and the last remaining map will be played as third map, when needed.
Example:
Team A (1st group C) vs. Team B (2nd group B)
Team A vetos 1st map, Team B 2nd map, Team A 3rd map.
3 remaining maps -> Team B picks the first map to be played, Team A picks the second map. Last map will be played, if needed.
If the maps ends as a draw you have to play an overtime as it is written in the rules.

First of all I havent heard or read that there should be an advantage from winning your group, however I dont mind that since you have obviously earned it, though I dont understand the way that the admins have deliberated as they came up with the brilliant idea of letting the winning team of group(x) pick map as second after already getting to vote out first and last, giving them another advantage as in deciding which out of the two last remaining maps they are best at or which one they would have the bigger opportunity to win on.
To sum up what I have written, The winning teams will exclude the first map which they dislike the most, they will also get to exclude the third map after seeing what map the opponents excluded, after all of that the 2nd placed team will pick their map first out of the remaining three letting the winning team decide which out of the last two maps they are the best at and then go with that even though their map already have been picked by their opponent which allows them to play on their two favourite maps out of the last three.
An advantage alright, but almost a free choice of maps... I dislike strongly.

They earned it to get the first veto ---> thats why they reached the first place in the group

seeds based on groupstage results: 1 icenine(+36), 2 tera(+33), 3 mysfx(+7), 4 ncc(+6), 5 hastalavista(+11), 6 select(+4), 7 hounds(+1), 8 cefo(-9).

Okey lets answer your Questions easily :
E: The playoffs will be 8 contestant single elimination bracket. The top 2 of each Group will qualify for the playoffs. The teams will be seeded A1 vs D2, A2 vs D1, B1 vs C2, B2 vs C1.
The contestants will be seeded so that two contestants from the same group can only meet in the grand final.

One more question, could the play time be different for each match? I would enjoy watching the broadcasts.
We will advertise the broadcasts as best as possible, there will be at least a big link on on each match if there is one available. I'm talking to fridayyy, Russki from Dignitas and trying to contact mysfxTV. We won't rearrange the schedule because teams are free to reschedule if it's warranted, hence there are no "fixed" dates. edit: VoD's should be available too later on in case you missed one.

"seeding doesnt matter for this competition" Hmmm well okay this is my opinion. E5 wich where top 3 for this EMS got screwed by seeding coz u fools seeded EU,FR,PL,GER AND EU_lastchance 5x 1 2 3 4. If u just did EU&EU_lastchance together -so seeds 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (coz the qualified teams from lastchance where -5/8 in EU qualifier) If they did this we had normal groups. (look group D & rest groups). and now in the playoffs u force Icenine and mystify to play eachoter before the finals. doesnt make sense but ok.

Im' sorry Loones, but if that was suppose to make any sense, you kinda failed.
The teams in groupstage itself were never fair. Based in nationality, each group should have 1 EU, 1 German, 1 PL, FR teams. Even if it wasnt possible to get so many teams, then you would fill it with EU teams. But that didnt happend with one of the groups. So whats the point of trying to be fair now & do a bad tree?
To be honest, I don't care if we do play a team now or in the final, I just want to know how can one team with 0 defeats not be #1 or #2?
IceNine ( & tera ) should get the top & bottom of the tree. Not hounds.
I wouldnt say your "rules" are incorrect, they are just stupid and wrong.

The funny thing is we get to the playoff without training,scrims NOTHING even pubs. Last months i spended playing CS:S my team also did not played CF (world of tanks). I dont rly get the point we didnt even get a stupid prizes for cups (gp etc.). So whats about real money? Do people are rly so blind and stupid? Next example 2 months ego i won a mouse roccat kave or however it been called. Right after the tournament i sended the ticket to gamerage "when i will get my mouse and where should i send the adress"? After week they give me answer "BE PACIENT AND WAIT FOR MORE INFO AT MAIL" OK 3 weeks left AND FINALLY they posted a news about winners.Now next month past and i still dont even have a massage from gamerage. So no Gp no mouse.And now 5000€... ofc they going to send it sure! BTW remember the roccat versus turnament? When 2 germans + Anamden won keyboards? It was more than 7 months ago.Guess what THEY STILL DONT RECEIVED THE PRIZES.
Back to the topic i dont rly care about these rules they can be stupid or not but im just playing here nothing else. I'm glad that admins are trying to do something not like on NA we had to begg them to make a stupid 5on5 cup. The same thing about the groupstage. i guess the esl planed to let 4 teams from every quali pass but cause of the low amount of french and german teams that wasnt possible ( -> last chance quali) and so they had to change the system --> "your unfair groupstage ".
if you got an other fair way to mix the groupstage up for the next season help the esl with that.
I can think of why you are crying right now about the rules , cause non of you really went through it. As an example just check the first week on the groupstage and look how many of you got a minor pp for not posting a statement/statement to late. If you wanna play something like that you should check the rules and not cry when the admins tell you something that you should know already.

If we get into the materia and see which team is considered to be the best to win the tournament and split the two best teams up to make them being able to compete far away from eachother, so they would face eachother, in the best case, just in the finals, then it would be definitely unfair and also not the point of the tournament. Every time you try to complain about the way things are going, imagine this was the championsleague and you see Inter Mailand vs. FC Barcelona in the first stage of the playoffs..
That's the same.. vaLue CF also didn't say a word about being in the group D, even though it was a hard one.. I made a cocky joke about the group, but over all they didn't say anything. Lost their matches like sportsmen. They had a little time to prepare after having some dropouts.. still they took it like sportsmen and didn't split up after they were out.. That's the way professional - semi professional gaming goes.. Some day you win, the other day you lose..

It's just the first EMS Season with CrossFire. There will be a second one so you need tell them what they can do better if you don't come along with the rules in this season. Whether or not the Playoff-tree is wrong, I don't care. I have no problem with this.
And don't complain about fridayyy. He's doing his best for crossfire to become a more popular game with his stream. I'm supporting this.

I don't want to blame you for that, but:
TryHard and his friends and Forty and all the other guys have made big bla bla on ESL forums claiming to be the best commentators. Now comes the fact: They have no clue what's LIVE SHOUTCAST, they record these files locally on their PC's, then they render the video in good quality. It takes up to 1 hour, then it has to be uploaded and takes another hour, whilst the score of the match has been entered already long time ago. 60% of the people wouldn't watch the VOD's of these videos anymore.
Ok, here comes the second fact why claiming for other broadcasters is pointless: I have contacted 15 people who might understand the game and be able to cast these matches, won't blabla offensive stuff about others, because they don't like them or something like that. Personal problems don't belong to EMS.
Now comes the sad fact: TryHard's friends and him claimed to be allowed to shoutcast EMS and all other matches. When it came down to a serious discussion with him and me on TS, after we have tried out that shoutcast together, whilst he was just commenting on the stuff and I did the camera work, since he had / still has no clue how live shoutcasting works.
After that I asked him versy seriously, if he wants to be the official caster. This would help him and us alot, as I am not a native speaker, or don't speak English on a native speaker's level. You know what his answer was like? Oh, well dude.. I can't be online at all, just sometimes sunday evening, because I have school during the week and sometimes I am at home on sunday.. That's a NO GO. I need people who are interested in making it SERIOUS AND NOT CASUAL.
I have contacted his friend Curtis, he answered just the same. He doesn't have time, whereas they were claiming TO BE THE BEST CASTERS AND TO BE ALLOWED TO SHOUTCAST ON ESL PLEASE, PLEASE WE'RE THE BEST AND WE ARE GR8.
I've asked All3, when he came online after a couple of months, I also tried to asked Rufus and all the other people. I seriously tried to get in touch with the native speakers with the neccessary knowledge of the background. I could give them all my stuff, the channel, the programms, but they refuse and there is NO ONE AROUND who wants to make, so now not as admin, but as a regular person who works his ass off to make something happen here for YOU.
People didn't even realize this whole project will die, if we don't start making it available for the wider sprawled public. And the method of doing it is SHOUTCASTING. People need to sit relaxed at home, viewing the live show, being entertained. In this case is being the best and fastest talker calling and blabbing over every single move they make in-game is not relaxing, when it comes down to a 2h live show. The best way of making it entertaining is to explain people what happens in game, what's the next action is going to be, or what the next option should be. This is entertainment.
I focus pretty much on clear pictures of showing different angles, showing combats, etc. etc. Have you ever tried to imagine how this would be, if I wouldn't switch between the opposite sites on combat and how many things you would need to guess or simply would miss? I am trying to make a 4 dimensions shoutcast for you. If you didn't notice, then obviously it was freaking good, because thats the Suture Effect. (google it)
Have you ever seen Joe Miller commenting on every single bullet, like TryHard does? That's not even close to relaxing live shoutcast. That's making me tired after 10 minutes. People liked the way he does that, I asked him to do it. He is just 15 and needs to go to school. His friends are afraid of being serious. So if you want to complain once again, I will show you the amount of average viewers of random showmatches from my channel and also for the EMS competition. If then you still want to try to piss at my legs once again, I will will tell you to get off from me, thanks.
PS: Without mentioning I am doing it all for free and spend alot of time to get footage, matches and people coming to my ts and giving statements, making the advertisement on facebook, esl tv, twitch, readmore.de etc, on track.
