On the 13th January the Winter Cup started with 30 teams and some teams have already been eliminated. Most of the matches were played and only a few were chosen by defwin.

After the start of the second season of the A-series, now 4 weeks have passed and it's time for some information. Some time ago, ended the first A-Series and the new series started, so it is time to publish some news. On the sixth of January ended the first A-Series, unfortunately without Premier Division and therefore without awards for the top three.

It is cold these days in germany and before the winter will leave us we will host the known winter cup. We will have one big cup with some prizes, so read on. We also offer a special award just for the winner of this cup which will be played in 5on5 S&D mode.

A few days ago was a Division update of the 5on5 A-Series and a lot has happened. There are 76 active teams in the A series.

The first snow is falling and Europe seems to be a white dreamscape. A perfect condition to have a nice time with the family during christmas time. But before you start having a nice christmas time, the ESL EU Call of Duty 4 Staff want to inform you, that we set up a special cup at Sunday 23/12/12. The night before Christmas Eve will be a special night for our Call of Duty 4 European section. It is the first time, that we announce a special Christmas Cup with a special award. It will be a 3on3 Cup with 16 slots. So we will play 4 different maps. We have a further suprise to announce: We won't play Crash, we will play Winter crash. The Autumn season is almost at its end, therefore our Autumn Cup has come to an end too. After weeks of playing matches, we now have our winners. Thirty-two teams has participated in this tournament, but there can be only one winner! Having seen our most recent cups fill within just a few days of being announced, ESL is proud to announce the 23th cup of the night series! Now confirmed as a weekly event, ESL will be continuing to extend their long line of nightcups through the winter period and well into the 2013 for those of you who simply can not get enough!

The second Division Update of the EU 5on5 A-Series in CoD 4 was just a few minutes ago and we have some changes to it. Due to lack of premium teams, we no longer have premier division in CoD 4. Instead we have Main Division with 30 teams and Open Division with unlimited number of teams. We will bring Premier Division back at the last division update before the end of the season - premium accounts will, however, still be required to join.

Almost two weeks ago we announced the A-Series for Call of Duty 4 and today it's time to give you some more details on what you can win and when you can play. You can sign up for any match dates you want and there is no forced match date you need to play, but there is a minimum activity and if you didn't play enough matches until a division update, you will lose some points.

After four weeks of qualification rounds and one week of playoffs, we now have our winners. Around 30 different teams competed for their place in the playoffs, however only 8 teams were able to get there. Playoffs were played in a double elimination bracket. This means even if someone lost a match, they were not immediately out of the competition.

It is about time to start a dedicated A-Series for Call of Duty after the first A-Series' have been launched recently. Our new league system, built for teams looking for organised matches, invites you to a new and challenging experience with Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.
