Prize for Rank 1:
300 Chalks for each Member of the Team

» After some months playing the Nations Cup, I really think that our team
became a deserved winner of the competition. It was an exciting and
interesting event, we enjoyed playing against the best players from Germany,
Turkey, Brazil...

In the begining there was a very hard groupstage, including our team,
Germany 1, Brazil, Turkey and Spain, five excellent teams. Even if we often
fought with lineup-problems we won the 1st place in the groupstage, playing
brilliantly especially against Turkey and Germany.
In the final-stages we became the favourites of the competition, after
Brazil and Germany were out. We started the playoffs against the Germany 2
team, won that game but lost the ''semifinal'' against Bulgaria. After this
loss we were really angry, everything that happened around the 2on2 4ball
match there was unprofessional and childish, but after this game we were
only more motivated to win the cup.

The last two games were excellent, we met the Turks for the third time in
this cup at the LB-final, won our pocket and snooker games and joined to the
final. Even if we won the Turkey-team three times during the past months, I
think that they have been our strongest opponent and they deserve every
respect for getting the 3rd place.

At the final we met team Bulgaria again, we were hot as fire, 9 from 11 of
my players were ready to play, so we had no lineup-problems at all. After
the 1st leg was won as expected, our opponents gave a suprising lineup,
missing some of their better players. We won the final easier as expected,
because we were prepared to play both gametype-legs, and because we wanted
to proof that we are the better team. We started the mission 'Nations Cup'
with one aim, to win it, and we did it.
We are delighted now, and we thank all participating teams, the ESL-Carom3d
sector, the admins, and every user that followed us through the cup :)

SPECIAL THANK TO ALL OF MY PLAYERS, IT WAS A PLEASURE TO BE PLAYING
ALONGSIDE YOU!
Every member of the team was important for me, taSla, Kulson, Chad_10 and
Edwa played nearly all games, Zago, Dex, Kangaroo and Constantin played many
games, and even TheFra and Rasko were always there supporting us. With the
best team-manager on Earth - DAMIR, you can call us the 'WINNING ELEVEN
2008' :P

Thanks, and gratz to all.
your Damir ;)

Bulgaria

Prize for Rank 2:
200 Chalks for each Member of the Team

» The first season of Nations Championship is over. The winner is Bosnia. Congratulations to them.

Bulgarian hadn't much troubles in the group stage. First Algeria quit the whole tournament, then Spain and Morroco followed them because of penalties. It's sad that we weren't allowed to show our potential vs stronger teams in the groups. We were lucky when we won our first Play-off vs Turkey. We were losing 3-0 and 1-0 in the 4th game but we managed to win it. In the second Play-off we met Bosnia and won against them (some say unfair some say fair). The fact is that we lost the final.

Anyway the tournament was fantastic except the last match.Bulgarian team enjoyed playing. It was a great experience and I hope there will be another event like this one. I am realy disappointed that we couldn't win this tournament but I'm also realy glad that we played this final. Maybe next time there will be more fairplay and the players in the teams will respect eachother. We all acted like kids after Bosnia won the final: Bulgaria because of the loss, and Bosnia because of arrogance. I want to appologise everyone who I harmed in this tournament.

Turkey

Prize for Rank 3:
100 Chalks for each Member of the Team

» At the start.there were so many favourites to win the season 1 of this special event. But,Bosnia and Bulgaria were more organised, and they wanted to win this champ more than the other favourites.Especially, ger-1 and my team couldnt come to the match with the best line-up.Our problem was a lack of ESL-experience.That's why me and Boss lived the stress on the matchdays..
Spite of every problems,we had the fun and lived the team soul. But i should add that, prices were not equal to,what we gave for this tournament.I hope next time everything(prices, organisation, tournament system..) will be more worthy for this special event.

For the first season, gratulations to the BrOtHeR TeAm.They have some unbeatable players in their strong gametypes. And also want to gratulate runner-up team and my teammates for the big effort they gave.

proudly...

Germany GER-2

» The Nations Championship is over and we finished on 4th place. In the beginning it looked like a very impressive and big planned event, but in tournament progress it has become smaller, unimportant and less interesting which is really sad in our opinion. It’s also quite unlucky that so many teams were kicked out before the tournament was over.

All in all it was a nice idea to make a tournament where nations play against each other, but some things must be improved for a possible 2nd season.

Best Regards, Germany GER-2
