Winter Warm-Up Cup *Update*
Although there is no date yet for the next patch, the upcoming Clans and Tournament update provides a opportunity for us to invite the Brink community to join our next Brink 5on5 cup.
Currently the cup is planed for eight teams. If more teams are willing to play we will extend the cup in size as well as in time. The cup will use the well-known championship config and a double-elimination system.

 Brink Winter Warm-Up Cup

  • Start: 04.12.2011, 20:00 CET (UTC+1)
  • Signups open from 29.11.2011 to 04.12.2011, 19:00 CET (UTC+1)
  • Teamsize: 5on5
  • Gamemode: Stopwatch
  • Maps: Best-of-One (Bo1)
  • Map pick: Mapelimination: each team removes a map until 1 remains, left seeded team picks first.
  • Mappool: Aquarium, Resort, Container City, Shipyard, Reactor

     Dates

  • Round 1: 04.12.2011 - 20:00 CET (UTC+1)
  • Round 2: 04.12.2011 - 21:00 CET (UTC+1)
  • Round 3: 04.12.2011 - 22:00 CET (UTC+1)
  • Round 4: 04.12.2011 - 23:00 CET (UTC+1)

    • Note: This schedule is for 8 teams in case of more times may change. If the rounds are finished faster, the teams will be allowed to start the next round ahead of the schedule.

  • Valve Anti-Cheat must be activated

    • Signup here


Due to the recent player drop in Brink the cup is a rather small one to see how much activity is left and to get an idea how the ESL Brink section will continue. We hope that there are still clans willing and happy to play and we hope to see you on Sunday!

If a team will be unable to participate due to time restrains, please leave a message in the comments so that we get an idea how many teams are willing to play. This will help us in planing the future of the ESL Brink section.

Basically I don't wanna sound greedy, but there is no way there are a lot of teams returning if there isn't anything to gain. Most teams are already playing other games, including us, and only a prizepool would make us return.

I understand your concerns but due to the activity drop during the championship (and after) there is not much use and willingness in keeping the section artificialy alive by prices alone.

Kind of. Except prices in those kind of tourneys are in general 100% sponsored. If that's enough of a hint ;)
