You should have spent more time on possible serversettings, dudes. What the heck were you thinking, that you are dealing with random pub heroes here that can't wait to put their hands on new unlocks?
Anyways, you will see what flaws your own game has once you played your first round of 4on4 Squad Rush and everyone of you gets kicked off the server and has to rejoin on and on ...have fun!
I am afraid I am just the first one here appearing and tell you things like that.Nothing personal, we all just want to have fun here, but we have to deal with a long list of problems and lack of features, small tiny features like an incomplete Scoreboard or missing timer so we don't have to baserape all the time in CQ mode.

Dice I do got some questions for you guys. Why did you put almost no effort in making this game suitable for competetive play ?
Even the BF2 browser worked better then this new one. Not even simple support like connecting on ip, and a bit more advanced server settings. And where are the modtools ?
The game like it's intended is indeed perfect for the purpose you made it for, publics. For matches however it just doesn't work. Just like in all BF titles, we played without unlocks. Has nothing to do with being man enough, I want balance, not a sprayfest.
+1 for only basic weapons btw, need a balanced cup not a publicfest with a password ...

Congratulations. You did a great job overall, but some weapons are still bugged, some are imbalanced, some combinations could lead to exploits/spams.
Also you can't imagine how much hours of playtime are lost everyday because of the mapchange crash. And how hard it is for us to claim a winner without ticket/endtime scoreboard.

I agree with Bazajaytee, just play the game as it is (with all weapons and perks).
For example, have you ever seen a CS tournament with a forbidden AWP (oh noes its OP! oneshot n00b gun!)?

Rush = Current Rules. (!pixelshooting)
CQ = All weapons except m60/mortar.

And indeed, where is the time limit ? Why can't we adjust ticket limit ? And may I ask you if youre team ( DICE ) even played a war yet ? Since with everything on it just turns into either a medic spamming game ( why did you give the medics lmgs ?, just ruins the bf feeling ) or it turns into a noobtube/rpg battle ... It just feels like you released a second beta and had everyone pay money for it.

In my opinion everything is fine with the game.
CQ is fine. M60 is a little bit overpowered and mortar isn't a clanwar-Feature. It destroys the fun of a cw.
Rush needs a timelimit and indestructible bombspots. Otherwise pixelshooting is way to important and the admins have to adjust the rules.
We really need cw-features like restartround and a final screen with scores.

Allowing nothing is the only way this game might have a chance of becoming competetively viable. All stock guns are good and balanced... We can try again when DICE manages to fix the game, or releases modtools.

The rest of us can deal with M60 Rambos, and noobtubers just fine, thank you.
You should consider starting two separate cups, one for the whiners, and one without restrictions.

Of course all weapons. If they fix hit detection then M60 wouldn't be overpowered. It fires so slow it registers all hits so it delivers the damage as intended, unlike assault weapons.

Nah has nothing to do with hitreg, that's fine. It has to do with unbalanced weapons DICE managed to put it. And Zero get a clue, I have played a lot of games on high level. And I can just tell you this won't work with all the low/ overpowered/ spray guns... No aim needed with a lot of guns , noskill play it will be ...

It's not about one team getting an advantage, everyone gets to use the same weapons.
And CB (and that BFzone thingy) is already restricting weapons and loadouts. Why should ALL online ladders have it that way?
There are plenty of us, wanting to play the FULL game in wars. And we simply don't have an alternative. Please, don't f**k this cup/ladder up too!
We joined THIS cup just because CB has those idiot restrictions.

No cause not everyone has the time to play 24/7 to unlock all weapons ... That's 1 of the main problems with the noob rules you want, it's just you all depserately whine for the unlocks cause you simple CAN'T do anything without it... CB has all unlocks now go play there or emigrate to germany and join their ladders ....

What we have right now is a great balance between the different kits. Why not keep it that way? Im afraid if we allow weapons like m16, an95, m60 and so on it will ruin the skill the game requires.
All i'm saying is that we should play the cup first, then start discussing about rules. In theory the ones we have established now seems good and balanced.
And people, its not about whiners nor is it about players "not being able to handle situations", its about finding a solution to make the game balanced and competitive.
Hopefully this poll wont really affect the rules, just a look at what people want?

Who cares? As long as they don't fix all the major flaws (for an example; adjustable tickets, restarting without complete server reload, spectator mode, demo mode etc) this game does not have any competitive viability.
This is a console game. EA doesn't give two shits for competitive play. Accept it and move on.
Hopefully BF3 won't be completely consolified.

I play only 1-2 hours a day, the game is out since two weeks, and I already have ALL unlocks (except recon, which i dont really want to use).
Don't tell me, there are people, who consider themselves "serious players", and can't unlock all the weapons in no time!
Is that a joke? Restricting a cup spanning MONTHS just because you need TWO WEEKS to get all the unlocks? If you only play on the cup matches, you get them all in no time!
And no, I'm comfortable with all the guns. I just love FREEDOM. I don't really like being restricted because others whims and whining.

Definitely all weapons. Of course, weapons that can be clearly used for exploiting the game (eg. mortar strike for destroying MCOM's) can be possibly banned, because it's clearly a design flaw from the side of the developers. don't support limiting M60s / GLs / any other "overpowered" weapons, but even if we disallowed them, its better than the rest of those options.

Hey if you wanna play with all weapons then go play CoD or CS:S. Competetive gaming is about SKILL, not about wich kits you are able to make. Everyone the same kit, means equal chances means the best will win... And that's probably what you are all afraid for, you can't win without unlocks ...
