 It's really sad, but we have to make an activity check as 9 months before. The ladder activity is not so good as hoped, so we have to do this activity check again. Above all the 2on2 and 5on5 ladder is affected of this. You can read all informations as always in the news.
Space assault cupBecause only 2 teams joined the cup, we have to cancel it. We're sorry for the 2 teams, which joined the cup, but maybe we can get more teams for the planned space cups in the future. Missing activityWe're missing the activity, in the last weeks the activity was really great, better as before. But now on 2 ladders the activity is decreasing since days: 2on2 ladder ---> 1.1 matches per day 5on5+ ladder ---> 1.3 matches per day So if the activity is decreasing the next weeks up to 0.5 - 0.8 matches per day, we will close both ladders and make a focus on 1on1 and 3on3 ctf. For the bo3 enemys, no we won't change it ;) Fake accountsIn the first 3 month of the year, we got more fake accounts (fa's) as always before. If you can remember our Year 2009 in Review news you may know, that we got in the last year 54 fake accounts. In the first 3 months of this year, we got nearly 35 fake accounts (rated by myself). We won't get all fake accounts, but if we detect one, it isn't fine for the user and for us, so please don't create fake accounts and we get all less stress ;) Tickets and protestsIn the last 3 months we made a lot of supports and protests, now we will present you the statistic: Protests: 137!!! The next eventThe next event is already locked, its the class cup, we announced before a few weeks. If we have more informations about the start, we will share it with you. secondly, I'm really sad about the 2on2 statics. Blaublut and Invincityy or something *seem to be* the only active teams in the 2on2 ladder.
5on5, I can understand cuz, its hard to have 10 players online from the right team on the right moment:) so I wouldn't close it if I were an admin, cuz its all about the 5on5,, the other ladders are "for extra activity and fun" In my opinion.

SWBF2 ESL section is falling apart (orly). Now, before other guys say " OMG BB SWBF2 " etc, get rid of the BO3 system while you can, or close this section now, cause i don't know what other players think but I'm getting tired of all this bad news and arguing.

werent there always discussion i mean like every year that swbf2 is dead etcetc.. but this time i think there is maybe no way to keep it alive since we got the best match system, the best admins, the best game, partly inactive clans and the kewlest comunity ever.
still i think there would be a way to get back to normal activty when u just change that ubergay matchsystem which is completly buged. now plz dont say that u are waiting for the esl coders since we do that since moar than a month and why shuld the coders even care bout this section? till they will fix it the ladders or atleast the 5n5 will be dead

They dont play the game so it makes no difference to them. They will be assigned a new section to
adminruin and the SWBF2 players will be the ones who really lose out not the admins.You can complain about the bo3 to them but they dont care because they dont see the true effects of it.
This is the admins fault so its pointless complaining to them because there too stubborn to admit they have made a mistake. We need to go and talk to the top people not the puppets because the section belongs to the players as much as the top dogs of the ESL. If they see the majority of the section is unhappy Im sure they would come to more of a compromise then the SWBF2 admins

each 5on5 is a certain number of matches per week absolvieren.viele simply have no desire to regulate the system and bad.

The 5on5 Ladder is the main-ladder if you close this ladder you can close the whole SWBF2 section. I said to you that this will happen with the new system, new rules, mappool and so on. But the admins know everything better... now we can see the result... sad

Well I made some tickets, because I already said to them I want different admins(or Ice-T back)
I asked for "higher admins" and they didn't allow me to talk to them.
@Gamergirl I prefer you back to the adminship. You always took care about the PEOPLE, you helped everyone(I don't know for sure everyone, but you helped me A LOT)
@Phil, I agree, I miss Ice-T, he was a real battlefront man, he was a perfect 'formel' admin.

Edding: Sal, I thank you for helping us.(us=the community) I really appreciate your time in argueing the admins. You're almost always saying the right things and some people don't say anything while you go straight to your goal. Just to protect us and let SWBF 2 alive.

WE ARE a small community. This Game WILL DIE some day. But it MUSN´T BE this day. WE ALL, the admins and the community, must stick together and find a way how this game has a chance to survive.
WE MUST find a solution how we can keep the activity and the fun in the ladders high. AND NOW we know, that the admins idea hasn´t worked as we all hoped.
But the solution CAN´T BE FLAMING at each other! That DOES NOT HELP!
In my opinion, WE ALL should build a council, that will decide how WE should go on for the future. Dicuss the rules, the whole system. THIS COUNCIL sholdn´t be that big like the players council that failed because of its greatness. THE MEMBERS of this council should be elected from the community and THE ADMINS will participate in it too. All in all, i think thats THE ONLY WAY TO GET OUT of this suspense.

Well, of course this is not the only reason why the activity goes down.
In the past few days I happen to play Battlefront II more often than before, but not in the ESL.
A lot of players still play this game and still have fun and ask for funmatches, but never for ESL matches.
Why not? I wouldn't mind playing a lot of hours, because I always have fun while playing.
But it's different in ESL matches where a win or a loss means more than in Funmatches.
I don't care, except for my time in MsC I have always either been in a Clan that always lost or really played for fun only.
But there are others who care, and I am speaking for those people who cannot write their oppinion in here because of several reasons.

people like you are just flaming how bad things are since the release of the new system but im pretty sure, that if you guys wouldnt whine all the time 90% of the other players wouldnt care about the new system and just accept it. Also you could spent your time on playing matches rather than blaming the admins 24/7. You can't say that there are less matches becasue someone thinks before the match that it could take too long.. pls be real ... you can't seruiously have that position. maybe i realize in the match that it is taking too long but thats no reason to "not play that match" before, because you dont know if there is a 3. map needed or not before playing..the system ist NOT the reason of the inactivity.. the system is YOUR easiest point to flame about.. thats the difference.. look football.. they have a goal system but 1:0 and 5:0 is the same.. +3 points.. sounds unfair.. but noone is complaining because there has never been an other system.. everyone could life with the new swbf2 system. stop flaming pls.. it is not the end of the wordl!

If the costumers (the players) want a change in the product (the leagues) the normal thing is that the producer (ESL) makes those changes. If not the interest for the product (the leagues) diminishes and less costumers (players) will use it. I know you don't think that you're as smart as me, but even you should be able to understand this. ESL is for its players, not the admins.

Not I definitely don't think, that playing SWBF2 is "pro" but if you don't play to match other clans to see whos the best, but only play for fun then where the problem about the rules? If you just play for fun it doesent matter how youre matches are evaluated does it? Moreover you dont need to play in a league to have fun - you could play funwars or just join a public server with your friends.

Do you think you could do it way better? Care about 76576557 guys writing senseless support tickets? creating cups leagues and rule systems in association with the core admins? increase the activity by spending hours and hours arguin with other admins about what should be done? and dont getting 1 cent but only disrespect and reougnance for something you do by choice?
If I were an admin I would not care about this community anymore and let the game die so you should be happy about the fact that they try.
