Rule Improving & Important Informations

 We know, that some players still don't accepting the new BO3 system. Now we heared something about a teamspeak meeting, that should run tomorrow evening. As far as we know, the community want to make a decision for the ESL ladders. It would be helpful, if you would read the informations at the bottom of this news.
Rule ImprovingWe got a ot of feedback and of course we looked at this feedback in detail. Following things have been changed / will be changed:BO3 Improvement We got some feedback, that the way like matches are counted, is a little bit strange. So a 2:0 will be counted as a full win / full loss, but a 2:1 will be counted in the same way. In fact this is a little bit unfair and so we changed it. Now a 2:0 will be countd as a 100% win / loss, but a 2:1 won't be countd as 100% anymore. So a 2:1 won't give you as much points as a 2:0. The old matches have been recalculated, so that everything should be correct now. If there is a problem in one of your old matches, please write a ticket. Mappool Improvement The mappols will be changed in a big way. First we splitted the mappool in every ladder into 2 mappools. 1.) general mappool 2.) 3rd map mappool So we will be able to create a general mappool for the 1st and 2nd map and another special mappool only for the 3rd map choice. In this way we can improve the mappools in a better way. All in all every mappool will be changed. We are discussing the new mappools in the player council. Rule Improvement In the player council we are discussing a few rule changes to improve the rules. These changes will be announced as far as the discussion has been finished. But you can be sure, that the admins + player council are working to improve the rules and expecially the server settings. Ladder ActivitySince 3 days the new ladders are open and the first matches have been played. Now we can take a first look at the activity after the ladder restart.
If you are looking at the matches per day statistic there are new statistic records in the 1on1, 2on2 and ctf 3on3+ ladder. Great work, guys! We are curious if you can continue these statistics or if you maybe can beat it. New Years Cup - Never ending StoryFirst we want to say "sorry". In fact the NYC wasn't as successful as we thought it would be.We just wanted to support this cup, because it was a popular cup in the last years. But because it was a traditional "community cup" we wanted to play it without strict ESL rules like default wins and so on. We just tried to let you play this cup your way. In fact this was a fault. Three weeks after the planned end of this cup only the group stage is finished. Tomorrow at 31th january the finale cup will start and now we will start to give default wins like in any ESL cup. The official timeline for the final cup of the NYC can bee seen in the following list. The final cup will start on 1st february. Each round is scheduled to be played during three days. So the first round will start at 01.02., the second round will start at 04.02. and the final round will start at 07.02. If a match hasn't been finished after this "deadline" the admins will give def wins.
Community Teamspeak MeetingAs written at the top of this news, we heared about a teamspeak meeting, that should run tomorrow evening. As far as we know, the community want to make a decision for the ESL ladders. So we just want to give you some informations:We created the player council to work together with the community. So it would be helpful if you would just use the player council to make proposals for rules changes and so on. In fact we are already working on some rule changes together with the player council. This community meeting won't be an official ESL meeting, so we won't accept the decisions of this meeting. It's unimportant, what you will decide in this meeting, we won't change it. Just use the player council and tell the council player of your clan, what proposals he should write into the player council board. Than we will discuss about it. This way will work. The TS meeting will be ignored. Maybe this sounds hard, but we want to work with the player council, so this meeting would be very counterproductive. And the most important information: If you are talking about the BO3 system, please notice, that we won't change it. Even if 100% of the community want to change it or even if "all" players will leave the SWBF2 ladders, the BO3 system won't be changed. We are open for mappool changes and rules changes through the player council, but the BO3 system won't be changed. Please just accept it. Your  Admin Team

There would be need to discuss the map pool if the stupid Bo3 system was here. Nobody likes it. Elo was fine , the BO3 just wrecks it and makes half the rounds pointless to play. Is the BO3 used in any other ESL ladder were there is tickets?
First the BO3 then Eddies fcking Italia ( worst map ever btw with no thought put into it)
What are you trying to turn SWBF2 into? Its an old game and no one buys it anymore. Its just the same people always who play it and we like it the way it is. Trying to make it more professional Esports? Have you played this game? No is so disillusioned to think this game is pro so theres no need to try and add all these "flash new systems"

we only want to come together talk to each other with tea and cake ;)
and hear the opinion of most of the swbf2 players what they say to the new inovations of the esl

As i told u, i know u havent to change anything what we want to, but in our dreams there is a community and a cooperative esl. We just talk together with cake and tea, as unleashed told.

pls explain "better" i just can follow the arguments as they are written above (bo3 fits rather strange to ticket systems )dont want to repeat everything.. just want to know if you can explain that or if its just a mistake that you dont want to admit? to be honest the system is not that bad but your reaction on the critcs are..

"so this meeting would be very counterproductive" it would be more prductive than any council could ever be because theres everybodys opinion formed to one by discussing.. maybe it is possible to fget a entire statement of the community..
you can ignore that..
... or you can do your job as swbf2 admin and do, what is the best for the community...nevermind what this is, the community will tell you :)

why the new years cup went bad?
because you guys do not have any clue about what is important in SWBF2 if you start cups like that one
because you changed the meaning of the cup - it was not a fucking normal cup. it was a possibilty to get the clans come closer together and to play one or two days peacefully.
The most important thing was the sense for community and the togetherness.
you absolutly destroyed that because of your power-based behaviour and your control freaks in your adminteam. that was the good of the old adminteam.
