Sweden: successful day at Dreamhack Summer 2010
21.06.2010 00:00

Three matches and Sweden who won every single one

What a day at Dreamhack that ended only a few seconds ago. Sweden managed to win the final match of the ASUS ENC at Dreamhack against Poland and is now on the heels of Ukraine in the race for the first spot which grants direct qualification for the playoffs.

With 16:6 on de_dust2 and 16:13 on de_train the Swedes won all points for their country.

Poland is now fighting with Norway for the 3rd relegation spot. It will be a though race in Group A of this year's ASUS ENC Main Round with a glorious highlight on the last playday when Sweden faces Ukraine for the leadership.

Thanks to ASUS for this fantastic day with three thrilling matches and a lot of fun here at Dreamhack. We are looking forward to next week, when the German teams will have two home matches at the ASUS ENC at Tempodrom Berlin. See these matches live on spot or follow the whole show live via ESL TV.

Thorzain saves the day for Sweden

The hosting nation scores once again!

It was a long and hard match for both Germany and Sweden with the better ending for the local players. After the Swedes won the first two 1on1 matches, Germany came back into the game and won both 2on2s and XlorD's 1on1 match. But yAwS lost his final 1on1 and so the Germans go back home, almost empty handed.

It is the first loss for Germany's Warcraft 3 team in 2010's Main Round of the ASUS European Nations Championship. Thorzain and Effect playing for Sweden kept Germany's chances alive to be able to advance to the relegation. It was Thorzain who kept the Nordic nation in the tournament by winning both his 1on1 matches.

Germany still claimed the first spot at least for this playday by scoring the 2 points that they needed to be two points ahead of Russia now. Sweden stepped up to the 4th spot and now can hope to reach the relegation on the final playday of the main round versus Belarus. Germany can help them by beating Bulgaria in their last match.

HasuObs, XlorD and yAwS fighting against Sweden

The German team has a mini series with 3 victories in a row in the main round of this year's ASUS ENC. Today their fourth match will decide whether they will be on top of Group A in front of Russia or if they will stay behind Russia and Bulgaria.

The Swedish players Thorzain and Effect need to score some points as their main round matches so far brought home only 7 points. Will they be able to stand the Germans and keep some points here in Sweden?

Counter-Strike 1.6 Female

The first match of the ASUS ENC Dreamhack is over. The Swedish Counter-Strike girls have proven their famous skill on two quick but exciting maps. Poland was only able to score a total of five rounds on both maps, what is of course to less to have any chance winning at least one map. So Sweden stays undefeated in the Main Round and is the team to beat in the first ASUS ENC Champion of CS1.6 Female.

Next up is Warcraft 3 what will start at about 5pm. Stay tuned for the classic of Sweden vs. Germany up next on ESL TV!

The matches of ASUS ENC at Dreamhack Summer 2010

Sweden is one of the best and most experienced nations when it comes to girls playing Counter-Strike. It will be a tough challenge for the Polish lady playing against the Swedish girls from teams like fnatic and unFinished.
Sweden vs. Poland

Sweden already won the ASUS ENC trophy in Warcraft 3 three times, Germany was only able to gain the first place in 2008. Both nations have some very skilled player in their rosters. Since Sweden lost the first two Main Round matches, this will be a Do-or-Die match, if they still want to reach the ASUS ENC finals.
Sweden vs. Germany

Poland and Sweden will meet again in this Counter-Strike 1.6 Male match. It's one of the most anticipated matches of the CS1.6 Main Round and what a great chance for both teams to revenge a loss of their respective female fellows.
