Regroup Events stopper ESL aktiviteter

København, 10 feb. 2009, Regroup Events aps og Turtle Entertainment afbryder i dag officielt samarbejdet omkring ESL skandinavien.
Samarbejdet blev etableret i 2007 da Regroup Events fik licensen til ESL i regionen, hvor fokus var på at etablerer Danmark og siden hen hele skandinavien. Turtle entertainment og Regroup Events har i fællesskab besluttet at afsluttet samarbejdet, grundet virksomheden bag Regroup Events, nye strategi og fokus.
Den igangværende sæson af EPS.Sca sæson I og alle kommende aktiviteter, overtages af Turtle Entertainment, fra dags dato. Turtle Entertainment Turtle Entertainment was founded in 2000. The company quickly grew to be the European leader in the sector of electronic sports (eSports). The Electronic Sports League, operated by Turtle Entertainment, is active in 20 different countries worldwide. The league portal www.esl.eu reaches above 1,5 million unique visitors a month generated by more than 900,000 active members. Turtle Entertainment has 170 employees and is located in Cologne, Germany. Ten international license holders operate the ESL worldwide. Turtle Entertainment owns the majority of the Chinese eSports league PGL (Pro Gamer League) since 2007. Important business partners of Turtle Entertainment are global corporations such as Intel, Dell, Volkswagen and adidas. Turtle Entertainment markets its products worldwide using these specific brands: Electronic Sports League (ESL), ESL Amateur Series, ESL Pro Series, ESL Major Series, ESL European Nations Championship (ENC), ESL WC3L Series, ESL TV, Intel Extreme Masters, Consoles Sport League, United Consoles League, eSport Schulmeisterschaft, eSports Award and ESL Sports.
