The gameaccount in Counter-Strike 1.6 & Counter-Strike Source is the SteamID. You have to add this gameaccount to your ESL account, then you are allowed to participate in the CS leagues.
Connect on a server or create a new one and type "status" in your console. Your SteamID will be shown after your nickname. STEAM_XXXXXXX but you only need the part after "STEAM_".
You click on your ESL account on "Command Center" and then you click on "Gameaccounts (SteamID, ...)". For type you choose "SteamID CS/DoD" and for value you add your SteamID without the "STEAM_".
First you click on "Command Center" and there you click on "Gameaccounts (SteamID, ...)". For type you choose "SteamID CS/DoD" and for value you add your SteamID, then you have to give a reason, why you have to change your SteamID. Please also add a screenshot of your SteamID. For that you have to be alone on the server by wearing your ESL nick. After your request an admin will check it and then he will decide, whether the request will be accepted or rejected.
By default you take your screenshots with F5, if you are not sure, you can have a look at your CS settings under the point keyboard. There you have a command "Take Screenshot" and that command has to be bound.
(click for the larger version) If the key is bound, than you can take a screenshot by pressing the key and it will be saved in the cstrike folder.
- round screenshot(both participants):
You have to take a screenshot from the scoreboard at the end of a side. That means you have to open the scoreboard (default: tab) and then you have to press your take screenshot key (default: F5).
- status screenshot (both participants):
You open your console and type in "status" and press enter. After that you will see all SteamIDs of the players on the server. Now you have to write "snapshot" and you have taken a status screenshot.
- rcon status screenshot (only the participant who owns the server):
You open your console and type in "rcon status" and press enter. After that you will see all SteamIDs & IPs of the players on the server. Now you have to write "snapshot" and you have taken a rcon-status screenshot.
Both participants are responsible that all screenshots are uploaded correctly in time. round screenshots have to be fully uploaded and it doesn't matter from which participants. The rcon status screenshot must be uploaded from the participant which owns the server, the normal status screenshot is only needed in case of missing rcon status.
You have to record a demo for each side (ct / t). The best would be to name your demos after your side, then you will have no problems to find them after the match.
- How many demos can I request?
At most you can ask for two demos from one player, but only four demos of a team.
- Where can I request demos?
A demo request is only valid and compulsory if it was made at most 30 minutes after the match ended and if your opponent used the 'demo request' function on the match page. A correct request should look like that:
teamside: example 1: CT/T example 2: both sides
In every match you have to use Aequitas, because it is mandatory. You are not allowed to play without Aequitas, even if you got an error. In this case you will get 3 penaltiy points for playing without aequitas. Your opponent cannot allow you to play without aequitas. If the are any problems, you have to make a protest and ask for moving the match.
Each team/player has the right to play one half of the match on their/his server. You can only make use of this right as long as the second half of the match has not started and if the alternative server fulfils the requirements as mentioned in the set of rules.
If both teams have a server, the first half of the match will be played on the server of the team listed on the left side of the match details.
A knife round has to be played before the match starts. It is up to the winner to choose the side (CT/T). If a team obstructs finishing the knife round before the round ends, the team gets 1 penaltiy point and the opposing team has the right to choose the side.
A match can be broadcasted via HLTV without asking the opponent, but the team who ordered the HTLV has to make an announcement via the match comments. The arrangement is up to the teams themselves.
If a HLTV broadcasts a game, the delay has to be set to 90 seconds or more.
During the warm up the teams/players have to check whether the server settings are correct, whether the map has been loaded properly and whether the server uses the right maps (Anti Flashbug Mappack + ESL Mappack). Before the match starts both teams have to say clearly that they are ready.
Before the match starts the teams have to check whether the map has been loaded properly. In case of bugs (e.g. missing boxes, ladders etc.) the map has to be loaded again. By failing to check the map for bugs the teams agree to play on the map under the current conditions. Protests filed due to map bugs after the match will therefore be rejected.
- Walking through walls, floors or roofs and 'skywalking' is illegal.
- Climbing rule: Climbing with the help of a team mate is legal. However positions where textures, walls or floors can be removed by certain movements are illegal (e.g. jumping). (e.g. the barbwire on de_prodigy, the upper roof on de_nuke etc. for further information please check the rule on map bugs)
- Using flashbugs is illegal.
- Please note that in addition to rule 3.2.2. the team who owns the server cannot file a protest if the teams failed to check whether drax's anti flashbug map pack has been installed or not.
