ESWC returns in 2010
With Warcraft becoming older and older, less and less events put Warcraft III in their competition list. NetGamez died, The Party and the Reality only offer shooters these days. So its good to see an real big event returning, and offering a WC3 tournament!

ESCW

In 2009 the financial world went all the way down, causing there to be less money for the events world wide. But in 2010 everyone has hope again, and so the ESWC returns, and having WC3 in its competition list.

ESWC is not related with ESL, but since it offers a WC3 competition we thought it be a good idea to inform you all.

"World’s top gamers will be able to compete during the 7 th Electronic Sports Wold Cup™ 2010 Grand Final (ESWC 2010) in Paris, France from June 30 to July 4, 2010."

For the full information please go here.
ESWC is one of the larger events over the globe, with a total price money of $200.000,-.

eswc without quake :( is no eswc :)
Always laugh if I indeed see games as virtual racer and fifa instead of quake.
Now lets wait till a non gamer sees 'female' counter strike and starts a lawsuit for discrimination (seriously, by law I doubt they are allowed to deny guys oO)
Wohoooo WC3 participating :D
@Kiezel;

don't say stupid things. Each sport has different tournaments for male and females. They don't get a lawsuit.

ESWC without quake seems weird but at some level understandable.
In sports there is a fysical differences, that does not apply at gaming ;x.
Its weird they picked virtual tennis instead of quake though. quake in the benelux has just as many players as virtual tennis all over the globe, lol.
