ESL Wire Anti-Cheat & MOSS for War Rock

ESL Wire Anti-Cheat is the mandatory Anti-Cheat solution for all War Rock matches.
It is also possible to play fair public matches by using ESL Wire in a Gather. In addition to the Anti-Cheat, MOSS makes sure that players do not use software overclock or game exploits in Ladders and Cups.

Step 1: Adding War Rock to ESL Wire

  1. Install the latest version of Wire. You can get it from this link.
  2. Run ESL Wire as system administrator (Win Vista/7).
  3. Click on the "Play" tab in ESL Wire and press on "Add game".
  4. Select WarRock from the list.
  5. Choose "WRLauncher.exe" from the game directory.
  6. Please wait until the progress bar will reach 100% in the next window. Wire should detect the registry keys connected to "WRLauncher.exe". Choose any of them. If no keys will be detected, press "Add without keys".
  7. Perform the test run of the game. Don't click the "Game is closed" button yet! You have to get to the login screen (you don't have to login). Close the game, wait a few seconds and close the Ending Banner.
  8. In that step Wire should detect few executables connected to WarRock. Choose "WarRock.exe" from that list.

Step 2: Testing ESL Wire Anti-Cheat

  1. Join the ESL Wire testing team - password is "wireactest".
  2. Run ESL Wire as system administrator (Win Vista/7). Find War Rock on your gamelist ("Play" tab).
  3. Select the "vs. Wire Anti-Cheat team" match from the list. The Anti-Cheat box should be ticket, if not - do it manually.
  4. Run the game. Make sure that the "Matchmedia upload" window didn't appear yet.
  5. Play a few games to determine how ESL Wire Anti-Cheat work on your PC. Be aware that it may lower your FPS-rate.
  6. Quit the game. Now the "Matchmedia upload" window should appear - this is the signal, that Anti-Cheat has stopped.
  7. Go to the match page. There is a list of Wire Anti-Cheat logfiles ran by all players - find your nick there. Check the login and logout time. If they are correct, it means your ESL Wire Anti-Cheat is working perfectly!

Test your ESL Wire now!

Step 3: Starting a Match using ESL Wire

  1. Start ESL Wire as system administrator (Win Vista/7). Find War Rock on your gamelist. Right-click on it and select "Launch game". Select the match you are going to play (remember - the match has to be open).
  2. Start the game. When you logged in to War Rock, check the page of the match. Look at the ESL Wire Anti-Cheat Logfiles - find your nickname in the list.
  3. If you have a login time (no logout), that means Wire Anti-Cheat is working fine - you can play the match.
  4. If you have an "early logout" (the same login and logout time), you have to restart your game with ESL Wire again. Remember to check it this time too!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I get "early logouts", what can I do?
A: Reinstall ESL Wire. Add the game as it's written in the manual.

Q: Wire is not creating any files!
A: That is correct - ESL Wire is uploading all necessary files automatically on its own. You don't have to upload anything yourself, except the round screenshots.

Q: I am using Windows XP, how can I run Wire as Administrator?
A: You don't have to run ESL Wire as Administrator under Windows XP. Simply run ESL Wire like always.

Q: ESL Wire is crashing my game!
A: Please disable the ingame overlay. You find the option in the Gaming -> Ingame menu. You won't be able to do screenshots with Wire by disabling the Overlay, but it helps.

Q: Wire Anti-Cheat is still running, even if I close the game!
A: WarRock.exe is protected, that's why it needs the System Administratior permissions under Windows Vista/7.

Q: My game is running slower with Wire!
A: It is normal that the performance is a bit slower with Wire activated, since the Anti-Cheat is doing multiple operations to check your PC.

Q: ESL Wire is crashing with an error message.
A: Please contact the Wire support team via Support or Forum.

Q: I've added the game many times, it's still not working!
A: If you have followed all steps in this manual and it still doesn't work, please open a support ticket.

Q: I'm getting the "Matchmedia upload" window just after Hackshield finishes loading!
A: Are you sure that you've picked "WarRock.exe" in Step 1.7. of the manual?

Q: My internet connection crashed, what should I do?
A: Start Wire again. We have to be sure that you are playing all the game with anticheat on.

Error Messages

Invalid Windows Configuration
Remove any "optimizer" programs, such as Tuneup Utilities or Gamebooster, and restore initial Windows settings. If that does not work, the optimizers have deleted files required for MOSS to work, so you have to reinstall Windows.

The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
Download the latest version of DirectX from Microsoft.com
