BLX CPS 2 comes to an end
The Benelux Competition Premiership 2 has finally come to an end. Last Tuesday we witnessed the small final for the third place. Ultimately, yesterday the grand final was played for the title "the best team in the Benelux". Read more to find out about the results!

Semi finals results

The first semi final was between They Kick Ass, the groupwinner from group A, and Mouse Control 2 who had to admit defeat against powerhouse YoYoTech in the groupstage. Perhaps by lack of training and motivation, mCon 2 also lost this match with quite clear numbers. tka showed some nice rounds and took the win with a score of 14-3!

The other semi final was one to look out for! Last year's BLXCPS winner Mouse Control had to face group B's groupwinner YoYoTech. Both teams showed nice performance, and a decidermap was needed to decide which team would go to the grand final. In the end it was mCon that was the better team and managed to win two maps quite easily: 7-2, 4-7, 7-1.

Bronze final

The bronze medal game was a rematch between the two topteams from group B. Mouse Control 2 and YoYoTech both had to make up for the loss in the semi finals to get that third place. The first map was perhaps one of the most exciting maps of the entire tournament, where mCon 2 managed to get a 6-2 lead. YYT then noticeably started driving better and mCon 2 was not able to get that decisive round: YYT won the first map with 7-6!
It seemed like mCon's faith had broken there, as YYT was dominating the second map from start to finish. The end result was 14-6 and a bronze medal for YoYoTech!

Grand final

Yesterday it was there, the match we had all been looking out for since several weeks. It was Mouse Control, winner of BLXCPS 1, that reached the final after beating one of the favourites, YYT. The other finalist was They Kick Ass, who had beaten mCon in the groupstage. The match promised to be tense as both teams had increased their level since then.

On the first map, ESL-Mine by RKO90, mCon was clearly the better team, with Klaas showing excellent consistency and Tamarillo driving very close to the world record in some rounds. tka didn't stand a chance on this map: 7-1 to mCon.
The second map was tka's choice: ESL-BlackOut by Korre & Giligoop. The match was much closer here, both Tamarillo and neMesis showed excellent performance on this map. mCon took a 4-2 lead, but then couldn't step up when tka forced a comeback with impressive team-performance: 4-7 to tka.
ESL-Evilution by Yarisken & Hipp-E, the decidermap had to decide the winner of the tournament. Just like in the groupstage, the result between these two teams would be 2-1, but still anyone could take it. It seemed like some people from mCon's side wanted to rush things as they wanted to participate in the Gamer01 competition. As much as we support other trackmania competitions, it's a shame to see that this resulted in a lack of motivation at the end of this match. tka showed better determination and with some nice times they managed to finish this map with a clear 7-0.

All this leads to one deserved winner: They Kick Ass!
