BLX CPS 2: Groupstage is over
All five playdays are over. Let's have a look back at the past five weeks and see how all the teams performed. Of course we also have to prepare for the playoffs, as these are already planned for the upcoming weekend. Read more news inside!

Groupstage ending

Group A
Tension was high in the match between two potential playoff-candidates. Mouse Control faced trololo only yesterday. It was clear that these teams were not the biggest friends, but in the end it was the results that mattered to mCon. They showed outstanding performance, with Tamarillo even driving a worldrecord on ESL-Mine, and they were able to pull off a nice win with 21-3.
In the other match, They Kick Ass was able to keep their winning streak against the belgian team More Dimension Future.

Group B
Pure Nitro had a chance of reaching the playoffs, if they won their match against Team ViP. Even though they did that in a great match with 21-10, it was Mouse Control 2 that also managed to take the win in their match against Dutch Racing Squad. That means that mCon's second team also manages to qualify for the playoffs.

Congratulations to They Kick Ass, YoYoTech and both Mouse Control's first and second team for reaching the playoffs.
We would also like to give a big thanks to the other teams for participating! We hope you will enjoy spectating the finals as much as you have playing in the groupstage.

Finals!

The teams that have advanced to the playoffs are finally known. Obviously the groupwinners will face the second ranked teams from the other group. That brings us to the following matches.

Sunday, 06/03/11 20:00

Status: closed

  They Kick Ass (#1) [14:3]  Mouse Control 2 (#4)

They Kick Ass, an actual Austrian organisation, has a good amount of Benelux players in their Trackmania team, and decided to play the competition, with success so far. On the other hand it's Mouse Control 2, that originally signed up as DOK Gaming but moved to the organisation Mouse Control. The team is definitely at the top of the Benelux Trackmania scene, which is why they decided to sign-up two teams for the competition. mCon 2 was unlucky to face the strong YYT in the early stages of the tournament, but came back strong and made it to the playoffs.
Both teams will have to battle for one spot in the grand final! Who will be the winner? The match will probably be played Sunday @ 21:00 cet. Stay tuned!

Status: closed

  Mouse Control 1 (#2) [18:10]  YoYoTECH.BLXCPS (#3)

YoYoTech, the other groupwinner, is known to have one of the, if not the best team in the Trackmania scene. The Benelux plays a nice part in their Trackmania team and so they managed to be one of the favourites for this competition from the start as well. In this semi-final, they will face the strong mainteam from Mouse Control, that had an early (perhaps unexpected) loss versus tka. As the actual winners from last year, when they played with the name CaF Gaming, they will surely put up a nice fight.
This match promises to be tense. Tune in Sunday @ 20:00 cet to see two major Benelux Trackmania teams battle it out for a spot in the finals!

The maps

As announced in the map-allocation, the three maps for the semi-finals are maps D, F and G; ESL-Spaceship, ESL-BlackOut and ESL-Evilution.
(In the grand final, map D will be replaced by map E, ESL-Mine)

Map-order
Contrary to the groupmatches, you don't have to play all three maps. The third map will only be played as a decider, if the score is 1-1 after two maps. Because of this, the order in which the maps will be played is important. Therefore these rules.
Each team will pick their homemap.
The groupwinners will pick their homemap last.
Teams may decide to wait with announcing their mapchoice until the match starts.
Both maps that have been picked may be played in random order, as both maps have to be played either way. Only the decider-map (the map that didn't get picked) has to be played third, but only if the score is 1-1 after two maps.
Of course both teams may agree to play the third map no matter what, for the sake of the show!
