Some changes
Today we did some changes in the Benelux StarCraft II section, as you probably noticed!
We changed our Menu. Old and irrelevant, info has been replaced by new information.
You can see all Benelux and Europe upcoming events at the top of our section.
Below that, you will find available team and solo leagues. Both Benelux and European. You also can find our next top event at the page.
Check out our Hall of Fame, from now on all players or teams who are top 3 in their cup will be showed of in here! There is also a ranking, who join as many cups as possible and be the first at our Hall of Fame ranking!
At the right side, we kept our news section. Here you can find all news about StarCraft II in the ESL Benelux scene.
"Admins wanted!" is the final piece of our updated SC2 website. We are still looking for admins, who want to help in the Benelux section.

New StarCraft II Benelux
Review
From now on we will do reviews of cups that have been played on ESL Benelux StarCraft II. As we had 3 cups in the last couple of weeks, we will start with a review from those.
BE Nightcups #1, #2 and Final #1
The BE Nightcups and the final of last week were a great success.
The first cup had a full roster and after some amazing matches nSgDioS arose from the loser bracket. In the final of cup #1 he had to play against Xionn, which Xionn won with a 2-0 victory.
The second cup was a little less filled but nonetheless there were some great players and matches. The final was between Laurens and Arcane, which ended in a 1-0 win for Laurens due to a forfeit by Arcane.
Our grand final on May 27 was between Xionn and Laurens. After some games, this was a Bo5 after all, Xionn won with a grand score of 3-0. For more info about the final, check out:

StarStrikers #1
For the first time on ESL, we announced a Custom Game cup, StarStrikers. 4 teams attended, which was the maximum for the first cup. We had 16 players competing in a double elimination bracket.
In round one
Red Team StarStrikers played against
Green Team StarStikers and
Blue Team StarStrikers against
Yellow Team StarStrikers.
Team Red won with 8-9 and the blue team won with 7-6. So in the lower brackets, the Yellow and Green teams would decide who will be last in the first StarStrikers tournament. Eventually the Green team defeated the Yellow team.
In the upper bracket, the Red team won their second match, are the first team that was sure of a spot in the Grandfinal.
The lower bracket final was between Green and Blue. Green won and had to play the Red team for the second time. This was a Best of Three, with 1-0 for Red, coming from the Upper bracket. They won the final with 8-2 and are the first to win the StarStrikers Cup!

Funcup #1
On this first edition of the BNL Funcup there was an interesting map pool and alot of interesting players as well.
After some rough competition our very own
CherrYmooN faced
Laurens to battle for the final spot. CherrYmooN won this one and thus advanced to the Finals.
In the Losers Bracket Laurens met
uThermal(Curse), the only player from the Netherlands that was left. Still, Laurens was too strong so he had to face CherrYmooN again.
The final being a BO3, there was a chance Laurens could beat CherrYmooN but it didn't end that way, CherrYmooN won by a score of 2-0 and is our first BNL Funcup winner!
