Intel Extreme Masters

If you missed the original Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) news post please go here. Due the undeniable popularity for the cup there are some changes in both the Belgium and the Dutch cup.

Players
The IEM was originally intended for 16 players, but due the massive amount of sign up there is decided to expand the brackets and give room for everyone that signs up. Meaning there is no limitation on the amount of players that can participate in the cup.

Check in
In order to be seeded you have to check in for this cup!!. This prevents no-shows during the first round.
You must check-in in order to be seeded into the brackets.

Timetable:
Check-in opens at: 07/09/10 18:00 o'clock
Check-in closes at: 07/09/10 19:50 o'clock
Cup begins at: 07/09/10 20:00 o'clock

If you have any trouble checking in you can contact an admin that can check you in. You can do this by joining #esl.blx.sc2 on IRC (quakenet) or by writing a support ticket.

Please note that you can check in for the cup at 18.00 till 19.50 o'clock.
After these check-ins the brackets will be set online. If you do not check in the effect is the same as a 'sign out' from the cup.

Cup information

All matches are 'Best of Three'.
The first round is played as given. After the first map the loser can chose the next map. The same map can not be played twice against the same opponent. There are no vetoes.

Round 1: Metalopolis
Round 2: Scrap Station
Round 3: Delta Quadrant
Round 4: Lost Temple
Round 5: Blistering Sands
Finals: Xel'Nage Caverns

After the match the results should be entered and be confirmed by both players. Please do upload the replays directly after the match.

Brackets will be set online on the cup day at 19.59 o'clock. Streams are allowed if the players allow it.
