How do I play a match with my opponent?

It doesn't really matter which possibility you choose to play your match. However, it is not possible to register on the EA website when you are under 18. And we can not force players under 18 to register on a website. So, we propose the following.

Online Friendlies

The easiest way to play your match, at least for Ladder matches, is through "Online Friendlies". When you use this way, it is important to change "Squad Type" to "Online". Now everyone is playing with the Online teams and no one can use own boosted players. The disadvantage at "Online Friendlies" is that there is no overtime and penalties. So, impossible to use when you are playing in a Cup where each match needs a winner.

EA Arena

The EA Arena is the best way to play Cup matches. When the game ends in a tie, the game will automatically go further with overtime and penalties. So in this mode it is not possible to end with a tie. Furthermore is EA Arena the only possibility to receive an e-mail from your played game. Which could be use in case of protests.

EA Lobby

This is the third option to play your match. However, we recommend not to use this mode. In case of a draw you can decide to play on or not, but it is hard to prove that online teams are being used and it is not possible to take a screenshot of the endscore. Summarized: no prove of the score and when you have an unfair player, it will result in nothing.

How can I recognize the Online teams?

A lot of teams play in a different formation and different players. The best way to check it is by taking your Virtual Pro in your team. When you see your player in the list of players, you know that wrong settings are being used.

But what if ...

... the match ends in a draw during a Cup?

When you use EA Arena the match will automatically go further towards overtime and if necessary penalties. When you use "Online Friendlies" the game will not go further. If your first match ends in a draw, you start a 2nd match, but this time "golden GOAL" will be used! It is up to the loser to end the game after the golden goal is made. When the deadline for a cup has passed, we reserve the right to disqualify both players.

... my opponent does not leave the game after the golden goal?

It is very important to have prove if you want to win a protest. So, if your opponent does not leave, take your mobile phone and start recording how you leave the game. Make sure your player tag and your opponents player tag is on it. An other option is to end the game till the 90 Minutes are over and report him after. We hope on the "Fairplay" of all users!

... a Ladder match ends in a draw?

When you play Online Friendlies there is no problem, you just report the score as a draw. When you use EA Arena one player should end the game and you should count on the fairness of the other player. So, for Ladder matches we do not recommend EA Arena. Also "custom matches" can be used, however, then it is important to take a clear photo with your mobile phone to prove you won the game.

Screenshots

Uploading a screenshot from the endgame is not necessary. However, ... it is recommended to do to make protests easier to judge.

Which screenshot possibilities I have?

There are several ways to provide a screenshot. This screenshots you need when there is a protest about scores.

EA Email

The first possibility is to activate the e-mail function from EA. This is done through the settings from the game.

Player HUB

You can also take a screenshot from your player HUB on EA.com. This option is only available when you play a game through EA Arena.

Photo with your mobile phone

The third possibility is to take a screenshot from the match statistics when you play an Online Friendlies.
