The VERSUS Spring Season awards are given out now and in this news we will tell you which players are the Top VERSUS players from the last season. We present the Winners, the MVPs, the Most Matches Champions and the Fair play winner of each game. We congratulate all award winners and we are excited to see who will rock the VERSUS Summer Season.

Another week, another changelog. This week we have one change and the road to another one in our two biggest games. CS brought in 2vs2 AWP and in CS:S you can now start voting for your favorite changes to the 5vs5 mappool. Also some other games got changed or expanded. See all changes of the week now. The polls have closed and we're proud to present the team captains for the Benelux Provincial Championship 2012. The application deadline has ended last night so it's time to announce the captains for the second season of the Benelux Provincial Championships. As you will see some provinces had more signups than others, some still have an open position for team captain.

Today by the Cup played 11 Players this is very nice behind the long inactivity and we hope we can make more in the next times. We will begin with some small Cups in a week, the After Work Cup or short AWC. The AWC is a Cup for people they have fun to play in a week and to beat with other TMNF Players. Good news for everyone who has always wanted to get to know a Starcraft II pro (-fessional) in person! This month, Sascha "GoOdy" Lupp and Arthur "AkkiS" Roskos will regularly be playing VERSUS, searching for a opponents to play StarCraft 2 1v1! This means you have the chance to meet and play against them, testing your skills to see how good you are and get feedback from a top player about your play.

Even when the VERSUS Summer Season 2012 has just started, we have planned a special Most Matches Competition for all Counter-Strike players in VERSUS. It is the same way a MMC runs in Ladders, but we will have more winners, because of an advanced concept.

In June the European Championship kicks off! Also here at ESL... From Monday 21st May it is possible to take part in any of our team qualifiers.So, if you want to play with Spain, sign up and win the qualifier! It will be your team during the EK2012 here at ESL. Remember... you need to win the team qualifier to play with the team, so don't bet on one qualifier only. Also keep in mind that one qualifier is played in one evening.

We just released an update for ESL Wire, which removes VLAN from our desktop tool. This feature was hardly used anways, but the removal excludes possible sources of error and we can focus even more on ESL Wire's core feature Anti-Cheat.

The finishing touch to our FIFA12 PS3 section is being made. On Monday 14th May the section will officially kick off with the Openings Cup. Straight away an award and ESL Premium will be given away to the winner and... if there are more than 32 participants, place 2 and 3 will be awarded as well! As many of you have noticed the average waiting time for VERSUS matches has increased since yesterday. "Why is that ?" you may ask. We implemented some important changes in the matchmaking algorithm to ensure high quality and more even matches. The side effect is that more players are needed to be taken into account for the best possible matchup.

This means also only three opportunities for the respective teams to fight them self to the top of the table until the participants in the EMS Playoffs are determined.
